Discourse states: Acute heart pain (sudden onset of chest and heart pain) originates from the deficiency of the Zang-Fu organs, with cold pathogen invading suddenly. The presentation is characterized by a sensation of cold pain in the heart region, leading to dyspnea or inability to breathe smoothly. Qianjin Fang treats heart pain caused by cold invasion using Rhizoma Polygoni Cuscutae (Dahuang) and Radix Scutellariae (Huangqin); it treats heart pain radiating to the back using Aconiti Lateralis Radix Preparata (Wutou) and Aconiti Radix (Fuzi). Such contradictory treatments highlight that the key lies in flexible application according to specific conditions.
