Discourse states: From conception to birth, the twelve meridians (Twelve Primary Meridians) nourish each other in turn, much like plants that require appropriate temperature and suitable soil conditions. Nothing fails to grow. When a fetus resides within the uterus (Zangfu organ), if it exhibits withering and dryness, this is generally due to the pregnant woman's weak constitutional endowment, which is insufficient to fully nourish the fetus. This results in an imbalance of Yin and Yang and blood and Qi, manifesting as either cold or heat. The fetal sac loses its moistening and nourishing benefits, leading to withering and dryness and failure to grow. Even if the delivery date passes, birth may not occur; there are also cases where this condition develops later. The treatment should focus on tonifying the mother's blood and Qi, ensuring the harmonious flow of Yin and Yang. When the root and branches correspond appropriately, the fetus will be nourished.
