Discussion: The Kidney governs water metabolism and forms an exterior-interior relationship with the Bladder. The Bladder is the mansion of body fluids (Jin Ye), and its Qi flows downward, thereby enabling the seepage and excretion of fluids to form urine. If there is heat in the bladder collaterals (Paoluo, referring to the bladder and its associated vessels), causing internal dryness of body fluids and stagnation of Qi mechanism, it leads to heat-induced obstruction in the urinary pathway, which in severe cases results in complete retention of urine.
