Discussion states: When the pulse at the Cun Kou (Cun position) on the left hand is Yin-Shi (Excess pattern of Yin), it indicates Heart Excess. Qi rebels upward, causing fullness and distension in the chest, with pain radiating to the shoulder. Bian Que said that when the Heart has Excess-Heat, there will be panting and rebellion of Qi, chest oppression, and dyspnea requiring an upright posture. This is because the Hand-Shaoyin (Heart meridian) is affected by Heat pathogens, thus constituting a Heart Excess disease. In severe cases, it manifests as bitter taste in the mouth, excessive thirst with unquenchable desire to drink, sores on the back, and even pain extending to the thighs, knees, and shins. The treatment principle should be to purge (drain excess).

Given "Shengma" usually maps to Cimicifugae Rhizoma in modern TCM, but historically varied. Let's use Cimicifugae Rhizoma as per modern standard unless specified otherwise, though some scholars argue Bupleuri. I will stick to the literal translation of the herb name Shengma -> Cimicifugae Rhizoma for consistency with current standards, noting historical ambiguity if necessary, but for this task, direct mapping is preferred. Actually, in *Shengji Zonglu*, Shengma is often used for clearing heat and raising yang. I will use Cimicifugae Rhizoma.), Zhuru (Bambusae Caulis in Taeniae Residuum, size of a chicken egg), Chishizhi (Halloysit Rubra).
