Discussion: In Xiao Ke (Xiao Ke Syndrome, characterized by excessive thirst, hunger, urination, and emaciation), fluids consumed are immediately excreted as urine. This is caused by the long-term ingestion of Rushi (Mineral Drugs). Over time, Ying and Wei Qi (Defensive and Nutritive Qi) are damaged, essence and blood become deficient, and muscle and skin waste away. The toxic nature of the minerals intensifies, affecting the meridians. Internal body fluids are exhausted, meridians become coagulated and obstructed, and Ying and Wei circulation ceases. Heat qi remains stagnant, thus transforming into Yong Ju (Carbuncles and Ulcers, suppurative skin lesions). Thorough treatment methods must be employed to prevent the toxic vapors from failing to exit and penetrating the Zang-Fu organs.
