Discussion: The disease known as Yang Feng (Leprosy-like skin disorder) presents with mottled lesions on the skin, appearing as connected dots that are circular. Generally resembling Bai Bo Feng (Vitiligo), but slightly lighter in color. This is caused by the binding of Wind Pathogen and Heat Evil, which invade the Spleen Meridian and Lung Meridian, and disperse into the muscles.
Treatment for Yang Feng, presenting with mottled lesions on the neck and face, using Wushe San Formula:
Wushe (Black Snake, soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted, two liang) Qinjiao (Gentianae Radix, remove seedlings and soil) Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, one and a half liang each) Gui (Cinnamomi Ramulus, remove coarse bark) Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, remove rhizome head) Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba, remove joints) Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, remove rhizome head) Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, two liang).
The above nineteen ingredients are crushed, sifted, and made into a powder. Take three qianbi (measure unit) mixed with warm wine daily, after meals and before bedtime.
Treatment for Yang Feng, presenting with sudden mottled lesions on the face, chin, neck, and nape, resembling tinea, using Xionghuang San external application formula:
Xionghuang (Realgar) Liuhuang (Sulfur) Baifan (Alumen, all ground into powder, one fen each).
The above three ingredients are mixed evenly. Blend with refined lard (Porcine Adipose) and apply to the sores.
Treatment for Yang Feng, as well as Chi Bai Dian Feng (Red and White Vitiligo), using Liuhuang San external application formula:
Liuhuang (Sulfur, ground, half liang) Pishuang (Arsenic Trioxide, ground) Nifen (Calomel, one fen each) Can'er Shi (Xanthii Fructus, one he, ground into powder).
The above four ingredients are finely ground. Add half a he of Ginger Juice (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens Juice), mix evenly. Apply sparingly, spreading evenly near the mouth.
Treatment for Yang Feng, presenting with mottled lesions on the body, using Fuzi San external application formula:
Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, one large piece, skin removed, used raw) Liuhuang (Sulfur, ground, half liang) Can'er Miao (Xanthii Herba, one handful, dried).
The above three ingredients are crushed and ground into powder. Mix with Rice Vinegar. First wipe the lesion with a cloth until red, then apply the medicine. Reapply when dry.
Treatment for Yang Feng, symptoms resembling Vitiligo, using Wushe San Formula:
Wushe (Black Snake, one strip, soaked in wine, skin and bones removed, roasted).
The above single ingredient is crushed, sifted, and made into a powder. Stir-fried Soybean (Sojae Semen Preparatum) half a he is soaked in non-ash wine, filtered to remove dregs. Take three qianbi of the powder mixed with the bean-wine infusion, taken on an empty stomach before meals.
Treatment for Yang Feng, using Youma Jiu Formula:
Youma (Sesami Fructus Niger, black sesame seed, any amount, cleaned and used raw).
Take half a he of the above single ingredient, chew thoroughly while raw, and swallow with three to five he of hot wine. Take one dose each time on an empty stomach, at noon, and before sleep. Gradually increase to one he. After taking for one hundred days, the disease will be cured.
Treatment for Yang Feng, presenting with sudden mottled lesions on the cheeks, neck, and nape resembling tinea, using Badou external application formula:
Badou (Crotonis Fructus, skin removed, used raw, one fen) Yan Cu (Strong Vinegar, one he).
The above two ingredients: first wipe the affected area with a new cloth until red. Then, in an old clay pot, grind Badou with vinegar into a thin paste. Apply to the lesion.
Treatment for generalized mottled Yang Feng, using Nuwei Gao massage ointment:
Nuwei (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma, also known as Yuzhu, one fen) Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata, one piece, skin and umbilicus removed, used raw) Jitexiang (Syzygii Aromatisati Flos, also known as Dingxiang, ground, half liang) Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, half liang) Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, one fen).
The above five ingredients are crushed and ground extremely fine, then mixed evenly. Melt seven he of lard collected in the twelfth lunar month over low heat. Filter out the dregs, add the aforementioned powder, and boil for three to four boils. Add one fen of ground Moschus (Musk), stir and mix, then boil again, stirring up and down repeatedly. Once the ointment is formed, store it in a porcelain vessel. Use a small amount to massage the affected area each time.
