It is stated in the discussion: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) states that when Cold Qi prevails, it is called Painful Bi Syndrome (Tongbi). Where there should be free flow, obstruction leads to pain. The presence of pain in Bi Syndrome occurs because Cold Qi enters the meridians, causing stagnation and sluggishness, resulting in a lack of smooth circulation. The root of pain lies in the predominance of Cold Qi; when Cold Qi predominates, Yang Qi diminishes while Yin Qi increases, thereby exacerbating the disease. Treatment should aim to unblock and guide Ying and Wei Qi, warming and moistening the meridians. When Blood and Qi receive warmth, they flow freely and smoothly, naturally eliminating any congestion or obstruction.
For treating Wind-Damp Bi Syndrome with painful Bi in the four limbs, spasms, and edema, use Fuling Tang (Poria Decoction).
Chifuling (Red Poria,去皮 removed black skin) Sanggenbaipi (Cortex Morus Radicis, two liang each) Fangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Rhizoma) Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae, removed coarse bark) Xiongnu (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) Shaoyao (Radix Paeoniae Alba) Mahuang (Herba Ephedrae, removed roots and nodes, three liang each).
The above seven herbs are coarsely pounded and sifted. Take five qianbi per dose, add one and a half zhan of water and one jujube (removed pit), decoct until one zhan remains, strain, and take warm. After taking three doses consecutively, administer hot ginger porridge to induce sweating as the goal.
For treating Wind-Damp Bi Syndrome with numbness of skin and flesh, and unbearable bone marrow pain, use Tianxiong Wan (Aconitum Hypocrateriforme Pill).
Tianxiong (Rhizoma Aconiti Hypocrateriformis, processed until cracked, removed outer skin and umbilicus) Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, processed until cracked, removed outer skin and umbilicus, one liang each) Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae, removed coarse bark, one and a half liang) Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum, processed, three liang).
The above five herbs are ground into fine powder and mixed with refined honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take twenty pills per dose with warm wine, three times daily and once at night.
For treating Wind-Damp Bi Syndrome with unbearable lower back and leg pain that persists despite long-term treatment, use Qudu Wan (Detoxifying Pill).

Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, sliced, dried) Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, removed seedlings and leaves, one and a half liang each) Guizhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi Cassiae, removed coarse bark, one liang) Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, one jin, sliced, crushed, juice extracted) Tianxiong (Rhizoma Aconiti Hypocrateriformis, ten pieces, removed outer skin and umbilicus, raw) Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, three fen, leave one piece whole without chopping) Xiongnu (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, half liang) Dansha (Cinnabar, ground, one liang) Ganjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Preparatum, processed, three fen) Wutou (Radix Aconiti Carmerichaeliae, removed outer skin and umbilicus, raw, one liang and three fen) Songzhi (Colophonium, four liang) Zhuzhi (Searcia Porci, five jin, separately refined, strained).
The above twelve herbs: first chop eight herbs to the size of soybeans, soak them in Shengdihuang juice overnight, then slowly simmer with Zhuzhi and Songzhi. Wait until the remaining Baizhi turns yellow, filter through thick cotton cloth to remove dregs, store in a porcelain jar, add Dansha powder, stir constantly until solidified. Before application, heat hands over fire and massage the affected area one thousand times.
