Discussion states: In character dictionaries, any character with the radical "Piao" (票) implies the meaning of rapid transformation of disease. The condition known as Biaozhu (Biaozhu, a type of severe carbuncle/furuncle) involves toxic pathogens that erupt and change rapidly; it harms the human body in the blink of an eye. Hence, its character contains the radical "Piao," and its pronunciation is identical to "Piao" in Piaofeng (Piaofeng, swift wind). Treatment must not be delayed in the slightest. The ancients stated that when humans are invaded by malignant wind, the pathogen enters the muscles and meridians, transforming into this disease. This is likely due to the accumulation and latent presence of Liqi (Liqi, intense pathogenic qi).
Use Zhishi Tang (Citrus Aurantium Decoction) to treat Biaozhu.

Zhishi (Stir-fried Zhi Shi, Fructus Aurantii), Shegan (Belamcanda Rhizome), Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Baked Raw Rehmanniae Radix), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, black heart removed), Qianhu (Peucedani Radix, radicle removed), Xijiao Jie (Rhinocerotis Cornu Pulvis), Dahuang (Crushed and stir-fried Rheum Palmatum Rhizoma), Gancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root, crushed, each 1 liang).
The above nine ingredients are coarsely pounded and sieved. Each dose consists of 5 qianbi (a small measuring spoon), boiled in 2 zhan (ancient liquid measure) of water until reduced to 1 zhan. Strain the dregs, add Banzi (a small weight unit) of Shexiang (Musk), mix well, and take warm on an empty stomach, three times daily.
For early-stage Biaozhu, prompt purgation is indicated. Xijiao Wan (Rhino Horn Pill) Formula:
