It is stated that all sores and ulcers are caused by pathogenic factors of wind, heat, dampness, and toxicity. There are many types, which have been thoroughly recorded in medical texts. However, some conditions commonly known as "sores" have not been included in standard formularies. Upon examination, these conditions all stem from the reversal and obstruction of pathogenic factors in the muscle texture (muscle layer), damaging the skin and flesh. Now, according to each syndrome, treatment methods are attached. Although originating from rural folk practices, they can be used to treat all types of wind acne (acne on the face) and unnamed pustules or boils on the face, which often result from drinking alcohol and consuming roasted or fried foods.
