Discourse states: Huoluan (acute vomiting and diarrhea) is caused by the deficiency of the Spleen and Stomach, external invasion of wind-cold pathogens, disharmony of Yin and Yang, leading to the mixing of water and grain, failure to separate clear from turbid, and chaos between the intestines and stomach. This causes vexation and oppression in the chest and heart, restlessness and discomfort, hence named Huoluan.
