It is stated that: Wind-pathogen enters the meridians and collaterals, causing Qi and Blood to stagnate, muscles lose their luster, leading to the formation of verrucae (skin warts). These may appear on the head and face, hands and feet, or be distributed across the four limbs. Their appearance resembles beans or knots; some are connected like tendons in strings of dozens, similar to "mouse milk" (a type of skin excrescence), hence called verrucae.

It is stated that: Yin and Yang in the human body are manifested through Blood and Qi. When these two are harmonious, they flow freely without stagnation, reflecting in complexion and form, and flowing smoothly through the skin and pores, achieving harmony everywhere. If this balance is lost, Qi and Blood condense and accumulate, which is the cause of bromhidrosis (body odor/fox odor). The manifestations vary: some are called fox odor, some general body odor, and some "leaking armpit." Fox odor refers specifically to the smell from the axilla. General body odor refers to the overall situation. Leaking armpit refers to dampness in the axilla causing sores. These must not be confused.
