Discourse states: Hong Kong foot (a disease characterized by swelling, pain, or flaccidity of the lower limbs) presenting with flaccidity and weakness is caused by deficiency of the Kidney, where Wind pathogen invades its meridians, leading to laxity of tendons and acid-weakness. The *Neijing* refers to this as "Flaccid Damp-Wind Bi" (Bi syndrome due to damp-wind causing flaccidity). Ancient prescriptions record that Su Shi also stated: if there is no swelling but rather flaccidity and weakness, with spasmodic flexion during walking or even falling, gradually progressing to insensibility, it is because Damp-Wind toxic qi invading the human body often does not manifest immediately; or it may be triggered by other diseases. Initially, it may seem insignificant, but upon careful observation of the condition, from the knee down to the foot, there is already insensibility; or Bi pain; or a sensation like insect bites; or soreness and pain in the toes and shins; or weakness preventing movement. These are all signs of flaccidity and weakness.
