论曰风毒香港脚，语言謇涩者，脾肾气虚，风湿中其经络也。肾之经循喉咙，挟舌本，脾
之经挟咽连舌本，散舌下，二经为风湿所中。故令舌本强硬，语言謇涩也。
治香港脚上攻心脾，语言謇涩。大八风汤方

上一十四味， 咀。用生绢袋盛，入净瓮中，以清酒三斗浸蜜封。春夏五日；秋冬七日，
随量饮之，不拘时，常令酒力相续。
Discourse: In cases of Fengdu Hongjiao (Hong Kong Foot, a type of rheumatic arthritis in the lower limbs) characterized by slurred speech (Jianshe), the etiology is deficiency of Qi in the Spleen and Kidney, with Wind-Dampness pathogens invading the meridians. The Kidney meridian runs along the throat and flanks the root of the tongue; the Spleen meridian flanks the pharynx, connects to the root of the tongue, and scatters under the tongue. When these two meridians are invaded by Wind-Dampness, it causes stiffness at the root of the tongue and slurred speech.
Formula for treating Fengdu Hongjiao attacking the Heart and Spleen, resulting in slurred speech: Da Ba Feng Tang (Great Eight-Wind Decoction).
Dang Gui (Cut and roasted) 3 liang, Da Dou (Soybean) 3 liang, Wu Tou (Processed until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed) 3 liang, Huang Qin (Remove black heart) 3 liang, Shao Yao 3 liang, Yuan Zhi (Remove heart) 3 liang, Qiang Huo (Remove seedlings and soil) 3 liang, Gui Zhi 3 liang, Fu Ling (Remove black skin) 3 liang, Huang Qi 3 liang.
The above twenty-two ingredients. Crush to the size of hemp seeds. Take 5 qian bi per dose, decoct with one zhan of water and half a zhan of wine until reduced to 8 fen. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Formula for treating Fengdu Hongjiao attacking upwards, causing body fever, inability to move limbs and joints, mental confusion, and slurred speech: Fang Feng Tang (Saposhnikovia Decoction).
Fang Feng (Remove forked branches) 3 liang, Ma Huang (Remove roots and nodes) 3 liang, Qin Jiao (Remove seedlings and soil) 3 liang, Du Huo (Remove rhizome head) 3 liang, Dang Gui (Cut and roasted) 3 liang, Yuan Zhi (Remove heart) 3 liang, Mu Fang Ji 3 liang, Gan Cao (Honey-fried) 3 liang, Ren Shen 3 liang, Huang Qin (Remove black heart) 3 liang, Sheng Ma 3 liang, Shao Yao 3 liang, Shi Gao (Crushed) 1 liang.
The above fifteen ingredients, excluding She Xiang (Musk). Crush to the size of hemp seeds and mix well. Take 4 qian bi per dose, decoct with two zhan of water and one large slice of fresh ginger until reduced to one zhan. Strain and take warm on an empty stomach, three times daily.
Formula for treating Fengdu Hongjiao, causing numbness and loss of sensation, and slurred speech: Gui Xin Tang (Cinnamon Heart Decoction).
Gui Xin (Remove coarse bark) 3 fen, Ma Huang (Remove roots and nodes) 1 liang, Dang Gui (Cut and roasted) 1 liang, Fang Feng (Remove forked branches) 1 liang, Bing Lang 2 liang.
The above nine ingredients. Crush to the size of hemp seeds. Take 3 qian bi per dose, decoct with two split red dates and one zhan of water until reduced to 7 fen. Strain and take warm, without restriction on time.
Formula for treating Fengdu Hongjiao, causing paralysis of four limbs, tendon spasm and tightness, and slurred speech: Tian Ma Wan (Gastrodia Pill).
Tian Ma (Raw use) 2 liang, Hai Ge (Separately crushed) 1.5 liang, Bai Fu Zi (Processed) 1.5 liang, Tian Nan Xing (Processed) 1.5 liang, Gan Xie (Remove soil, wine-fried) 1.5 liang, Dan Sha (Ground) 1.5 liang, Bai Jiang Can (Wine-fried) 1.5 liang, Gui Zhi (Remove coarse bark) 1.5 liang, Qiang Huo (Remove rhizome head) 1 liang, Man Jing Shi (Remove skin) 1 liang, Bai Hua She (Wine-soaked) 1 liang.
The above thirteen ingredients. Pound nine of them into powder, mix evenly with Hai Ge, She Xiang, and Dan Sha. Form pills using Ma Huang Gao as a binder, sized like wutong seeds. Take 20 pills per dose, washed down with Dou Lin Jiu (Bean-dripping wine), three times daily and once at night.
Formula for treating Fengdu Hongjiao attacking the Heart and Spleen, resulting in inability to speak: Jin Ya Jiu (Gold Tooth Wine).
Jin Ya, Xi Xin (Remove seedlings and leaves), Yin Yu, Fang Feng (Remove forked branches), Fu Zi (Processed until cracked, skin and umbilicus removed), Gan Jiang (Processed), Di Fu Zi, Shuo Xiao (Remove rhizome head) 6 liang.
The above fourteen ingredients. Crush. Place in a raw silk bag, put into a clean jar, soak in 3 dou of clear wine, and seal with honey. Soak for five days in spring and summer, seven days in autumn and winter. Drink according to tolerance, without restriction on time, ensuring the effect of the wine is continuous.
