It is stated in the discussion: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) mentions that when Gallbladder Heat transfers to the Brain, it results in Bi Yuan (Nasal Sinusitis with purulent discharge). Bi Yuan refers to the continuous flow of turbid nasal mucus. The Brain is the Sea of Marrow, residing in the Supreme Yin, and thus possesses the characteristic of "storing without draining." Now, when pathogenic heat from the Gallbladder moves upward into the Brain, the Yin Qi becomes insecure, causing what should be stored to leak out. Consequently, brain fluids seep downward into the nose, manifesting as continuous turbid nasal discharge, much like a spring with an inexhaustible source. If treatment is delayed, the condition may transmit and develop into Bi Xue (Epistaxis/Nosebleed) or Ming Mu (Syncope/Closed eyes).
