(One treatise, thirty-nine prescriptions)
The treatise states: When people travel long distances through mountains and rivers, they may be unfamiliar with the local water and soil conditions. If humans or livestock ingest something poisonous by mistake, and do not know the antidotes beforehand, they often die as a result. Is this not an unjust and premature death? However, the Great Sages have long established methods to save lives. The reason is that people, desiring life and favoring medicine, neglect to learn these methods. When poisoning occurs suddenly, they resign themselves to fate, never knowing how to save themselves. Now, I recount the detoxification methods of Shennong and the Yellow Emperor. Those interested should pay some attention to them.
Prescriptions for treating various food poisonings:
Drink Huanglong Tang (Yellow Dragon Decoction) and Rhinoceros Horn Juice (Xijiao Zhi); there is no case that cannot be cured. Drinking horse urine is also effective.
Prescription for treating restlessness caused by food poisoning:
Take Sanqgen (Sophora Flavescens Root) 3 liang, cut into pieces, decoct in 2.5 sheng of wine until 1 sheng remains. Take all at once; induce vomiting to achieve cure.
Prescription for treating poisoning from eating various substances:
Dig a pit one chi deep beside a latrine, fill it with water. Take seven toilet sticks, burn them until smoking, and throw them into the pit. Then take the water juice and drink 4-5 sheng; the patient will recover immediately. In emergencies where this is unavailable, simply dig a hole, add water, and drink the water directly.
Another prescription: Drink several sheng of fresh leek juice.
Another prescription: Hold one shell (Beizi) in the mouth; after a moment, vomit out the food, and the illness will heal.
Prescription for treating poisoning from eating meat of the six domestic animals:
Take the dried feces of each of the six domestic animals, grind into powder, and take with water for best results. If the meat is from animals that died naturally and is toxic, take Fangcunbi (a measure approx. 1 cubic inch) of Phellodendron Bark Powder (Huangbai Mo) with water; repeat the dose after a short while for better effect.
Another prescription: Burn 1 sheng of Adzuki Beans (Xiaodou), grind into powder, and take 3 Fangcunbi; this is miraculous.
Another prescription: Take Fangcunbi of yellow earth from the bottom of a stove, taken with water.
Prescription for treating poisoning from eating raw meat:
Dig three chi deep, take 3 sheng of the lower soil, boil with 5 sheng of water for five or six boils. Take the clear liquid floating on top, drink 1 sheng, and recovery is immediate.
Prescription for treating poisoning from eating beef:
Burn wild wolf teeth to ash, take Fangcunbi with water; this is good. (Alternative: use pig teeth.)
Another prescription: Take lard (Zhuzhi) with warm water; this is good.
Another prescription: Decoct Licorice Root (Gancao) in water and drink.
Prescription for treating poisoning from eating ox or horse meat:
Drinking human milk is beneficial.
Prescription for treating severe diarrhea and impending death from eating horse meat and blood:
Fermented Soybeans (Chi) 200 grains, Almonds (Xingren) 20 kernels.
Cut these two ingredients, steam with 5 sheng of rice until cooked, then pound the mixture. Take in two doses until finished.
Another prescription: Drink Reed Root (Lugen) juice to resolve toxicity.
Prescription for treating fatal poisoning from eating raw horse liver:
Male rat feces (Shizi) 14 grains (those pointed at both ends are authentic). Grind with water and drink. If not healed, prepare again.

Prescription for treating indigestion of dog meat causing hardness in the heart, abdominal distension, dry mouth with extreme thirst, anxiety, fever, delirium, or severe diarrhea:
Grind 1 sheng of almonds (with skin), mix with 3 sheng of boiling water, squeeze out the juice, and divide into three doses. When the pieces of dog meat pass intact, the patient will be safe; this is highly effective.
Prescription for treating poisoning from eating pork:

Prescription for treating fish poisoning causing facial swelling and restlessness, and impending death from perch poisoning:
Chop and pound Reed Root (Lugen) to extract juice; drink generously for good results. This also treats crab poisoning. Alternatively, drink juice from reed down.
