Duanshi (Calcined alum stone, 1 dan, moistened with water and steamed until fully heated); Lian Songzhi (Refined Pine Resin, 10 jin, powdered); Shangqu (Premium yeast starter, 1 dou 2 sheng); Shumi (Broomcorn millet, 1 dan).
First, stir-fry the Duanshi in a large pot. Insert wooden slats into the ashes until heat permeates them. Chop five dou of Goji root (*Lycium barbarum* root), add one dan 5 dou of water, and boil down to nine dou. Strain the dregs. Use this liquid to wash the Duanshi three times, then clarify. Soak the Shangqu in the clarified Duanshi liquid, using an amount of liquid consistent with standard brewing methods. Seal tightly for seven days and nights before opening. Maintain a state where the aroma of wine is perceptible. There are no dietary restrictions, but avoid exposure to wind. Any rice washing water or grain residue must be buried deeply to prevent consumption by humans, livestock, dogs, or rats. This wine should be brewed in the ninth lunar month and stopped in the second. For those prone to upper jiao heat, take three to five mouthfuls of cold rice after drinking to suppress the heat. For women suffering from inability to eat, chronic emaciation with yellowish complexion, and postpartum wind syndrome, a total of one dan of this wine will suffice for recovery. Add the Pine Resin powder at the beginning of brewing, spreading it evenly over the steamed rice while it is still hot, but only add it to the fermentation vessel once the rice has cooled. The wine and rice mixture should remain cool; otherwise, it will turn sour. Be aware of this.
