Xionghuang (Realgar), Jiaomu (Sichuan Pepper Seed), Badou (Croton Seed), Mangcao (Illicium lanceolatum), Yuanhua (Genkwa Flower), Zhenzhu (Cinnabar/Realgar, referred to as Muxiang in *Waitai Mi Yao*), Jiubai (Aristolochia Manshuriensis), Fanshi (Alum), Lilu (Veratrum Viride Rhizome) (each 4 fen), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root) (5 fen), Tagan (Rabbit Liver) (1 fen), Wugong (Centipede) (2 pieces), Banmao (Mylabris) (30 pieces).
Grind the above thirteen ingredients into powder, mix with honey, and pound for two thousand strokes. Form pills the size of small beans. Take one pill before meals with water. Seal the remaining pills tightly to prevent loss of medicinal qi; ten pills constitute one dose. If the disease is not cured, increase the dose by one pill on subsequent days, stopping when diarrhea occurs. Various Gu toxins will be expelled, their appearances too numerous to describe. After expulsion, rest for seven days, then take one dose. All diseases accumulated over thirty years will be eliminated. Avoid the "Five Pungent Spices" (Wu Xin).
Treats various illnesses, specifically evil qi invasion causing abdominal distension and fullness, inability to breathe, heart pain, accumulations, abdominal swelling, hernias, masses, undigested food retention, vomiting and retching, alternating chills and fever, scrofula, Gu poison, and residual disorders after childbirth in women.

Grind the above eight ingredients into powder, mix with honey to form pills the size of sesame seeds. Take two pills per dose, once daily. For Taiyang cold damage (Shanghan) within one or two days, take one pill; sweating should ensue. Alternatively, wrap two pills in cotton and insert into the ears. For diarrhea, take one pill and insert one pill into the anus. For Gu poison, take two pills; if the pathogen is external, grind the pills and massage onto the affected area. Pathogens above the diaphragm cause vomiting; pathogens below the diaphragm cause diarrhea.
Another prescription for treating Gu poison induced by malicious human agents:
Banmao (Mylabris) (6 pieces), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig), Lilu (Veratrum Viride Rhizome) (each size of a finger), Fu Yue Xia Tu (Soil from under the cooking pot at midnight) (size of a pellet).
Process the above four ingredients and sieve them. Take one qianbi (approx. 2-3 grams) with water. Toxins from insects, snakes, toads, and dung beetles will all be expelled.
