(Thirteenth Prescription)
When a child is approximately two hundred days old, small sores appear on the head and body. After treatment and care, they improve slightly but recur. In the fifth month, sudden mild coughing occurs with slight fever. Following treatment, it transforms into epilepsy (Xian), occurring more than twenty times a day. The limbs contract and twitch, the back makes "KT KT" sounds, the eyes roll back, and breath ceases momentarily, followed by revival after a long period. Previously, standard anti-epileptic decoctions were administered, inducing vomiting and purgation, but the condition persisted without interruption for a day. Thereafter, only Zhu li (Bamboo Sap) was given gradually. Approximately one sheng was administered over a day and night. The frequency of attacks decreased slightly. The next day, this Bamboo Sap Decoction was given, inducing vomiting and purgation, which significantly reduced the severity of attacks. During this interval, Zhu li was still occasionally administered.
