Treats the condition resulting from drinking alcohol during a *Shanghan* (Cold Damage) illness, where food intake is scant but alcohol consumption is excessive, leading to phlegm accumulation and jaundice. It addresses *Jiudan* (Alcohol Jaundice) characterized by mental restlessness and anguish (*Aonao*), with little heat sensation or dry retching.
Zhi Shi (Immature Bitter Orange, 5 pieces), Da Huang (Rhubarb Root and Rhizome, 3 liang), Dou Chi (Prepared Soybean, 0.5 sheng), Zhi Zi (Gardenia Fruit, 7 pieces).
The above four ingredients are crushed. Boil in 6 sheng of water until reduced to 2 sheng. Divide into three doses. This formula treats heart-heat pain and mental restlessness/anguish.
Ning Shui Shi San (Halloysitum Powder): Treats Rou Dan (Flesh Jaundice), where alcohol intake is low but urination is frequent, with urine appearing turbid white like rice washings. This disease arises from alcohol consumption.
Ning Shui Shi (Halloysitum), Bai Shi Zhi (Kaolinite), Gua Lou Gen (Trichosanthes Root), Gui Xin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, each 30 zhu), Tu Si Zi (Cuscuta Seed), Zhi Mu (Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, each 18 zhu).
The above six ingredients are processed and sifted into powder. Take 0.5 bishi (a measure for powder) mixed with millet porridge as a vehicle. Take three times daily. Improvement seen in five days; recovery in ten days.
Formula for treating *Jiudan* (Alcohol Jaundice) characterized by hardness and fullness below the heart and red urine.
Fu Ling (Poria), Yin Chen (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba), Gan Jiang (Dried Ginger, each 1 liang), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, stir-fried), Zhi Shi (Immature Bitter Orange, each 30 zhu), Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma), Xing Ren (Prunus Armeniacae Seed, each 18 zhu), Gan Cao (Licorice Root [text incomplete in source, inferred as Gan Cao based on context "Shang Shi Wei" and standard formulation]).
The above ten ingredients are powdered and mixed with honey to form pills the size of wu zi (wu berry seeds). Take three pills on an empty stomach, three times daily. Gradually increase the dose until urination becomes smooth. (Yi Fang adds Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 1 liang) and Da Huang (Rhubarb Root and Rhizome, 18 zhu), named Yin Chen Wan, treating Hei Dan (Black Jaundice) with dark body complexion and difficult urination.)
Treats conditions caused by alcohol: chest and heart distension and fullness, heaviness of flesh and bones, impaired diet and digestion, up to red-yellow urine. This stems from root deficiency, labor, wind-cold, dietary factors attacking the heart, and internal phlegm in the spleen and stomach.
Ban Xia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, 1 sheng), Sheng Jiang (Fresh Ginger), Huang Qin (Scutellariae Radix), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Yin Chen (Artemisiae Scopariae Herba, each 1 liang), Qian Hu (Peucedani Radix), Zhi Shi (Immature Bitter Orange), Gan Cao (Licorice Root), Da Ji (Euphorbiae Pekinensis Radix, 2 liang), Fu Ling (Poria), Bai Zhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, each 3 liang).

The first four of the above five ingredients are crushed. Soak in 1 dou of clear wine overnight. Boil until reduced by half. Remove dregs. Add Niu Dan (Bovis Calculus). Simmer over low fire until it can be formed into pills the size of beans. Take one pill per dose. Walk slowly after ingestion. If no effect, take another pill, up to eight pills total. This induces vomiting above the diaphragm and purging below the diaphragm, or may heal spontaneously without vomiting.
