细辛 钟乳粉（炼成者） 茯苓 云母粉（炼成者） 远志 五味子（等分）
上六味治下筛。以酒服五分匕，日三，加至一钱匕。
常服明目方。
芜菁子三升（净淘，以清酒三升煮令熟，曝干）
治下筛。以井花水和服方寸匕，稍加至三匕。无所忌，可少少作服之，令人充肥，明目
洞视，水煮酒服亦可（《千金翼》同，用水煮，三易水）。
又方 胡麻一斗，蒸三十遍，治下筛，每日酒服一升。
又方 服小黑豆，每日空心吞二七粒。
又方 三月三日采蔓菁花，阴干，治下筛，空心井花水服方寸匕，久服，长生明目，可
夜读细书。
治男子五劳七伤明目方。
地肤子一斗（阴干末之） 生地黄十斤（捣取汁）
上二味以地黄汁和散，曝干，共为末。以酒服方寸匕，日二服。
又方 白瓜子七升，绢袋盛搅，沸汤中三遍，曝干，以醋五升浸一宿，曝干，治下筛。
酒服方寸匕，日三。服之百日，夜写细书。
治肝实热，目 痛如刺
栀子仁 蕤仁 决明子（各一两） 车前叶 秦皮（各一两六铢） 石膏（二两碎如小
豆大）
上九味 咀。以井花水三升，煮取七合，去滓下蜜，更煎，取四合，以绵滤之，干器
贮，密封，勿使草芥落中，以药汁细细仰卧，以敷目中。
Formula for treating blindness lasting thirty years.
Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma), Zhongru Fen (Calcitriprae Preparata, refined), Fuling (Poria), Yunmu Fen (Microlite Preparata, refined), Yuanzhi (Polygalae Radix), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus) [equal parts].
The above six herbs are processed and sifted. Take the powder with wine, one "fen bi" (a small measuring spoon equivalent to approx. 1-2g) per dose, three times daily, gradually increasing to one "qian bi" (approx. 3-5g).
Formula for regular use to improve vision.
Wujingzi (Brassicae Semens) three sheng (cleansed thoroughly, boiled in three sheng of clear wine until cooked, then dried).
Process and sift. Mix with well water drawn at dawn (Jinghua Shui) and take one "cun bi" (square-inch spoon, approx. 5-10ml volume or corresponding powder amount) per dose, gradually increasing to three spoons. There are no dietary restrictions. It can be prepared in small quantities for consumption, promoting physical robustness and improving vision, allowing for clear sight as if seeing through holes. Boiling with water and taking with wine is also acceptable (as recorded in *Qianjin Yifang*, using water, changing the water three times).
Another formula: Humaxia (Sesami Semen Nigrum) one dou, steamed thirty times, processed and sifted. Take one sheng with wine daily.
Yet another formula: Consume black soybeans, swallowing fourteen grains on an empty stomach daily.
Yet another formula: Collect Wanjing flowers on the third day of the third lunar month, dry in shade, process and sift. Take one "cun bi" with well water drawn at dawn on an empty stomach. Long-term use promotes longevity and improves vision, enabling reading fine print at night.
Formula for men suffering from five types of fatigue and seven types of injuries, to improve vision.
Difuzi (Kochiae Fructus) one dou (dried in shade and powdered) Sheng Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Recens) ten jin (crushed to extract juice).
Mix the two ingredients with the Rehmannia juice, dry in the sun, and grind into a fine powder. Take one "cun bi" with wine, twice daily.
Another formula: Baiguazi (Cucumeris Semen) seven sheng, placed in a silk bag and agitated, passed through boiling water three times, dried, soaked in five sheng of vinegar overnight, dried again, processed and sifted.
Take one "cun bi" with wine, three times daily. After taking it for one hundred days, one can write fine characters at night.
Formula for treating liver excess-heat causing eye pain, described as stabbing pain.
Zhizi Ren (Gardeniae Fructus), Ruiren (Pruni Semen), Juemingzi (Cassiae Semen) [each one liang] Cheqian Ye (Plantaginis Herba), Qinpi (Fraxini Cortex) [each one liang six zhu] Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum) two liang (crushed to the size of small beans).
The above nine herbs are cut into small pieces. Decoct in three sheng of well water drawn at dawn until reduced to seven he. Remove the dregs, add honey, and decoct further until reduced to four he. Filter through cotton cloth, store in a dry vessel, seal tightly, preventing grass debris from entering. Instill the medicinal liquid slowly into the eyes while lying supine.
