Went to the hospital for an injection; currently the fever has subsided, and the child appears normal. The doctor stated that there would be recurrence, and we need to go again tomorrow (Based on our previous experience, it seems that according to Western medical treatment methods, children may have intermittent fever for three to five days).
Moreover, today the doctor believed that such high fever and syncope (loss of consciousness) might indicate an infection like encephalitis (inflammation of the brain parenchyma), and requested a brain CT scan and hospitalization for observation.
Her mother felt that it seemed to be caused by choking on a mouthful of phlegm or something similar, and after vomiting it out, she recovered. She considered it just a common cold (acute inflammation of the upper respiratory tract caused by viral infection), so she did not agree to hospitalization and took the child home once the fever subsided.
However, the whole family is very nervous and does not know what to do now. It is estimated that the fever will return tonight.
Please help, Sir.

What can the parents do? Whenever the child's fever gets high, she has slight convulsions and tremors. Yesterday at noon, she even held her breath and turned blue. Are we supposed to just watch her convulse and stop breathing??
Additionally, it is very strange that last night the child's hands and feet were ice-cold, and one could not feel any heat from her face or hands, but the temperature reading was over 39 degrees Celsius.

I beg you, Sir, to save my baby.
I had always insisted on not using Western medicine, but yesterday at 12:30 noon, she suddenly experienced convulsions (an acute condition characterized by loss of consciousness and limb twitching) and stopped breathing. After three to five minutes, she suddenly vomited a large mouthful, and then recovered, but her eyes remained fixed, and she showed no response. We rushed her to the hospital for emergency care. The doctor patting her back and pinching her ears; it took several minutes before she cried out. Then, they measured her temperature, checked blood indices, and conducted other examinations. The preliminary diagnosis was viral cold, but the doctor also mentioned it could be encephalitis and requested a brain CT scan. I firmly refused because I knew she caught a chill while bathing with the baby the afternoon before yesterday.
Yesterday afternoon at the hospital, the doctor prescribed Pediatric Fever-Reducing Granules (Chinese patent medicine), one bottle of Tylenol (Western medicine), and then administered an IV drip of Yijunning + Xin Yuxingcao. The fever dropped from 39.4°C to 38°C, but around 9:00 PM, it rose back to 39.4°C. So, I gave 1ml of Tylenol. At 2:30 AM, it dropped to 38.2°C, but by 6:30 AM, it rose again to 39.2°C. With no other option, we went back to the hospital, where the doctor prescribed another IV drip of Yijunning + Xin Yuxingcao.
What should I do? I want to give the baby Chinese herbal medicine, but she cannot swallow it. Whenever her fever spikes, she convulses. I am terrified that she will stop breathing again. So, I beg you, Sir, to save my baby. What should I do next?
Current symptoms of the baby: Mental state is still good, unable to eat, fever (unstable fever, fluctuating high and low), cold hands. Yesterday at 5:00 PM, after drinking milk, she slept in my arms for an hour and suddenly vomited in her sleep. After feeding her milk in the evening, I held her to observe, and no vomiting occurred. No cough, slight thick nasal discharge (pale yellow with a trace of very pale green). Morning stool: the first part is relatively dry and slightly green; the second part is loose, yellow. I estimate the first part is due to complementary food, while the second part is entirely from milk. When having a high fever, there is profuse sweating; when the fever drops to around 38°C, hands and feet become ice-cold. We cannot judge whether the baby has a fever from her forehead, face, or hands, as these areas feel completely normal, but when measuring under the armpit or orally, the temperature indicates a high fever.

Can I use the following decoction to treat the baby:
1. Guizhi Jia Fuzi Tang (Cinnamon Twig Decoction with Prepared Aconite Root): For colds with fever, headache, sweating, aversion to cold, soreness and heaviness in the lower back, nasal congestion, and dry retching.
Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig) 15g, Baishao (White Peony Root) 15g, Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root) 10g, Heifuzi (Black Prepared Aconite Root) 10g, Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger) 15g (sliced), Dazao (Jujube) 4 pieces (torn open).
Decoct five bowls of water until three bowls remain. Take one bowl each at 7:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 4:00 PM. After taking the medicine, drink one bowl of hot thin porridge to assist the medicinal power. Avoid raw, cold, greasy foods, scallions, garlic, and chives. Stop medication once symptoms disappear; there is no need to finish the remaining portion. Usually, one dose is sufficient, and at most, it will not exceed three doses. (Half dosage for children).

Gender: Male
Date of Birth: February 24, 2000, 10:00
Native Place: Jiangxi
Marital Status: Unmarried
Height: cm
Weight: 25 kg
Waist Circumference: size
Main Symptoms:
The child often coughs at night and early morning. I also noticed that he coughs dryly for a long time after strenuous exercise.
History of Illness:
My son is 5 years and 10 months old today. Three months ago, he contracted viral pneumonia. We were in the US. The doctor prescribed oral medication for a week and another medication in spray form, which was inhaled directly into the lungs via deep breathing. After two weeks, the child showed obvious improvement. However, I found that since then, basically every night and early morning, he coughs. Sometimes it is better, just a few times; sometimes several times. But it is always a dry cough. So we went to see the doctor again. The doctor advised continuing to use the spray medication and said this disease takes a long time to heal. To date, the child still coughs at night and early morning, and I notice he coughs dryly for a long time after strenuous exercise. The doctor took an X-ray and said the pneumonia is healed, but it might now be asthma. He said no prescription medication is needed, only some medicine to treat dry cough.
I don't know what to do now. He coughs pitifully every day, and he is still using the spray medication. Please prescribe a formula, Dr. Sanqi Sheng.
Many thanks.

After two days of medication, the cough has greatly improved, but sometimes there is still a little bit.
Your medicine is truly miraculous. The child had a long-standing cough, which worsened with Western medicine. After using the medicine prescribed by you, there was a huge effect in just two days.
There was no coughing at night or during the day. Coming back from school, walking and jumping all the way, he did not cough. Sleeping at night was also peaceful, no longer kicking off the quilt.
But today, after dinner, I peeled a pear for him to eat. Afterwards, I heard him cough a few times and clear his throat several times. I wonder if I committed the major taboo of giving him raw and cold food? Also, there are only two doses of medicine left. I hope you will prescribe more medicine, Sir.
Bowing in gratitude to Mr. Sanqi, causing you trouble.
Sanqi Sheng
December 22, 2005, 12:17
Yes, you committed a major taboo. Cold things will aggravate his condition. Western medicines are all "cold" in nature, so the more you use them, the worse it gets.

Since using your prescription, we have discontinued Western medicine.
Since taking your prescription, the child's cough has greatly improved. But due to my carelessness, I gave him raw and cold food, committing the major taboo of not allowing him to consume raw and cold items. I will definitely keep this in mind; raw/cold food and Western medicine are major taboos. On your website, I continue to learn. Thank you for your teachings, Sir.
Now I hope for your instructions: should I continue using the remaining two doses?
Current medication as follows:
Xingren (Apricot Seed) 4, Xixin (Asarum Root) 2, Heifuzi (Black Prepared Aconite Root) 6, Wuweizi (Schisandra Fruit) 4, Chenpi (Tangerine Peel) 4, Banxia (Pinellia Tuber) 4, Fuling (Poria) 4, Baizhu (Atractylodes Rhizome) 5, Ganjiang (Dried Ginger) 5, Zhigancao (Honey-fried Licorice Root) 5, Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig) 8, Baishao (White Peony Root) 3.

The condition has changed slightly. Immediately after lying down to sleep, he coughed dryly for a while, accompanied by snoring.
After taking the medicine prescribed by you, and finishing the first two doses, the condition greatly improved.
His speech became more energetic, there was no snoring at night, breathing was steady, and he no longer kicked off the quilt. Jumping around did not cause coughing. But due to my great negligence, after giving him a small pear on the second night of medication, adverse reactions occurred immediately. He cleared his throat from time to time, and the breathing sound during sleep that day was not as steady as the previous two days. During the day, he occasionally cleared his throat and said his throat felt itchy.
After finishing the third dose today, I heard him clearing his throat occasionally during the day. But now, after going to sleep at night, I saw him coughing dryly quite severely, with loud snoring. Listening to his back, there was a sound like snoring.
It is all my fault for not paying attention to raw/cold food. I didn't expect that a few pieces of pear would cause a change in the child's condition. I regret it deeply. I will surely keep this in mind from now on.
I also bother you to examine the child. Should I continue to finish the remaining one dose, or should we change the medicine?
Causing you trouble again. I am extremely grateful to you. It is truly Bodhisattva's guidance that allowed us to believe in and meet you. The child's illness can be saved...

After waking up in the morning, he said his chest felt a bit tight.
After waking up in the morning, I always felt that speaking for a long time made him tired. He said his chest felt a bit tight. But no coughing. There is only one dose of medicine left for tomorrow. I hope you will take a look, Sir.
Troubling you.

After school, he jogged back on the road. After arriving home, he had a mild, intermittent cough for over an hour, not very severe. Later, several friends played wildly indoors together for several hours. I originally thought he would cough heavily. However, nothing happened; instead, he felt that his Qi was unblocked.
I wonder if it is due to the outdoor cold (-10°C) and indoor warmth (+20°C).
There is one dose of medicine left. May I ask, after using it tomorrow, should I continue using it or what?
Please take a look, Sir.

If cured, there is no need to take it anymore.

The child snores loudly, is easily excited, and has slightly poor expression skills.
Hello, Mr. Sanqi Sheng,
After taking your four doses of medicine, you cured the child's dry cough that had lasted for several months. I am truly very grateful for helping the child escape suffering so soon. I detest how Western medicine made the child's illness worse with continued use.
Now that the four doses of Chinese herbal medicine are finished, seeing that the child has no cough, currently no medicine is being used.
The child is approaching 6 years old. I have summarized and found several problems. Over these years, I took him to see Western doctors many times, and they all said there was no problem. Until now, since believing in and meeting you, I no longer trust Western medicine. Here, I ask you, Sir, regarding the following problems, is there any Chinese medicine that can regulate them:
1. Since childhood, he snores loudly when sleeping, sometimes lightly, sometimes very loudly.
2. When playing with friends, he becomes very excited and acts impulsively. At that time, he cannot listen to anything outsiders say.
3. His language speaking and expression skills always seem slightly poorer than other children (I originally thought it was due to speaking two languages abroad, but I always feel it is not just that), but when he speaks, others understand him.
He is extroverted, but because of these two issues (2 and 3), some children in kindergarten do not like to play with him. However, the teacher says his IQ is good, he learns things very quickly, and concentrates well in class.
I earnestly request you to look at the above problems of the child. Please see if there is any Chinese medicine that can regulate them?
Bowing in gratitude.
