The *Guangji Fang* treats sudden attack by evil pathogenic factors, characterized by severe cramping and stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, urgent breathing and distension, with a faint pulse and near-death state. Guadi San (Melon Seed Powder) Formula.
Xionghuang (Realgar, 4 liang, ground) Chixiaodou (Vigna angularis, 4 fen, roasted) Gudi (Momordicae Fructus, 3 fen)
The above three ingredients are pounded and sifted into a powder. Take 1.5 qianbi of the powder with warm Jiangshui (fermented rice water) on an empty stomach; stop when vomiting occurs. If no vomiting occurs, increase the dose to 2 qianbi. Avoid cold, raw, greasy, sticky foods, and stale or foul-smelling items.
Another formula treats sudden attack by evil pathogenic factors, causing stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, and expelling evil qi. Shexiang San (Musk Powder) Formula.
Shexiang (Moschus, 1 fen, ground) Sheng Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu, 2 fen, shaved) Qingmuxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 2 fen)
The above three ingredients are pounded and sifted into a powder. Take one fangcunbi of the powder with boiled water on an empty stomach for immediate relief. If symptoms persist, take again; this formula does not cause purgation. Avoid the Five Pungent Spices (Wuxin). (Both from Volume 4)
