Etiology: The cause of Stone Lin (Stone strangury) is the passage of stones during urination. The Kidney governs water metabolism; when water stagnates and condenses, it transforms into stones. Therefore, sand and stones lodge in the Kidney. If the Kidney is deficient and attacked by Heat pathogenic factors, the Heat leads to the onset of Lin syndrome, causing obstruction and pain in the urinary tract.
Fan Wang's prescription for treating Stone Lin:
Calcinate turtle plastron (Bie Jia), grind into powder, and sieve. Take one cun bi (a measure of volume) with wine. Administer frequently over several doses; the stone should be expelled. (Same as *Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang*)
Another prescription:
Take the leaves/stems of a vine growing on a fence wall, dig up to the root, break it off, place a cup in the pit to catch the exuded juice, and take one sheng (a measure of volume). The stone should naturally pass. If it does not pass, take another sheng.
Another prescription:
Take two sheng of Plantaginis Semen (Che Qian Zi), place in a silk bag, add eight sheng of water, boil down to three sheng, remove dregs, and take in one dose. Take another dose after some time; the stone should descend. Do not eat the night before; this method is miraculous and effective. (Same as *Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang* and *Qian Jin Fang*)

Wen Zhong's prescription for Stone Lin:
