Etiology: When Yin and Yang are in disharmony, the Sanjiao (Triple Burner) becomes obstructed. Obstruction of the Sanjiao impedes the flow of Body Fluids (Jin Ye), leading to Qi stagnation and dysfunction, thereby resulting in dysphagia (Ye). This condition is caused by sorrow and indignation; these emotions cause Qi to knot and become stagnant, preventing its free circulation and causing dysphagia. "Dysphagia" refers to the sensation of obstruction and difficulty in swallowing. (From Volume 20)
