The etiology lies in the deficiency and damage of Kidney Qi, invaded by Wind pathogen. The pathogenic qi flows into the Kidney meridian, clashing with Yin qi. The true Qi and pathogenic Qi contend with each other, thus causing pain in the genitalia. In cold patterns, only pain is present; in heat patterns, swelling occurs. Regarding treatments such as herbal decoctions, moxibustion, and acupuncture, there are separate specific formulas, which are not detailed here. Methods for tonification, nourishment, and Daoyin (guiding and pulling exercises) are attached below. The Daoyin method in the Yangsheng Fang records: Point both big toes downward against the mat, bring the Yongquan (KI-1, Bubbling Spring) acupoints of both feet to touch each other, sit with both heels on the ground, spread both knees outward, interlock hands and stretch forward and downward to the utmost extent, repeat seven times, to eliminate labor-induced discomfort in the genitals and knees.

Allii Macrostemonis Bulbus (Xiao Suan, 小蒜) (one jin)
Radix Allii Tuberosi Root (Jiu Gen, 韭根) (one jin; absent in another version)
Radix Salicis Tomentosae Root (Yang Liu Gen, 杨柳根) (one jin)
Burn the above three ingredients together, pour wine over them, and fumigate the affected area with the generated heat. It will heal immediately. (Also found in Qianjin Yaofang, Volume 9)

Moxa-burn the Dadun (LR-1, Great Dun) acupoint three moxa cones.
Another prescription:
Take Plantaginis Semen powder (Cheqian Zi, 车前子), administer with wine for best results. (From Volume 25)
The etiology involves the Kidney's Ying (Nutrient) qi nourishing the genitalia. If Kidney Qi is deficient, it fails to control body fluids, leading to dampness from sweat. Deficiency allows Wind pathogen to invade; the pathogen lodges in the Couli (interstices) while the righteous Qi cannot be released. The struggle between pathogen and righteous Qi occurs at the skin level, causing itching. Scratching leads to sores. (From Volume 4)

Sanguisorbae Radix (Di Yu, 地榆)
Phellodendri Cortex (Huang Bo, 黄柏)
(each eight liang)
Cut the above two herbs, boil in ten dou of water until six sheng remain, strain off the dregs. Wash the sore with the liquid when the temperature is suitable, twice daily. Washing with Huang Bo decoction alone is also effective.
Furthermore, for those suffering from Du Jing Chuang (jealousy essence sore), in men located under the glans penis, and in women inside the Yumen (vaginal opening), presenting similarly to Gan Chuang (chancre-like ulcers):
Wrap a silver hairpin in cotton. Heat it over a fire where腊月 (twelfth lunar month) lard is being smoked/yellowed. While warm, cauterize the sore with the pin to generate heat. Apply dried Huai Zhi (Sophora branch). Finally, apply powders of She Xiang (musk), Huang Fan (yellow alum), and Qing Fan (green alum). Apply after urination. Healing occurs within two or three applications. Using medicines from Gan Chuang formulas for topical application also yields healing. (From Volume 25)

Another prescription:

Another prescription:
Fry Gan Cao (licorice) powder in honey and apply. This is highly effective. Recently, someone suffered from this condition; after application, the head swelled, and the sore was about to break. Washing with pork broth and applying the aforementioned powder, followed by Tao Hongjing's method, resulted in complete healing. It is miraculous. (From Volume 7)
