Beiji (Emergency Preparation) for treating Hongxiangjiao (Charley Horse/Edema) with屈弱 (weakness and flexion). If poor rural families lack medicine, brewing Baji (Smilax Glabra) and Songjie (Pine Node) wine are good remedies.
Baji (Radix Smilacis Glabrae, 1 hu, cleaned and chopped), boiled in 3 hu of water to obtain 9 dou, used to soak leaven. Boil the dregs in 2 hu of water to obtain 1 hu, used to soak rice. Brew as usual, press and drink as desired. If using Songjie and leaves, follow the same method; the juice does not need pressing. For Hongxiangjiao weakness lasting years preventing walking.
Also, Jinya Jiu (Gold Tooth Wine) is the most important remedy for Hongxiangjiao weakness. The formula is as follows.
Jinya (Ore Gold Tooth? *Note: Likely a specific mineral or herb name, kept as transliteration/contextual term*) Xixin (Herba Asari) Yinyu (Herba Epimedii, noted as Mangcao in Zhouhou) Jiangjiang (Rhizoma Zingiberis Secatum) Di Huang (Radix Rehmanniae Preparata) Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae) Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, peeled) Difuzi (Fructus Kochiae, 4 liang each) Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae, 4 liang) Renshen (Radix Ginseng, 2 liang) Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis, 1 jin) Niuxi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, 5 liang) Shihu (Herba Dendrobii, 5 liang)

Cizi Jiu (Side Child Wine) is also effective. (Zhouhou matches; Qianjin lacks Shengma, Renshen, Shihu, Niuxi, Yinyu, Jiangjiang, but includes Shujiao, Mangcao, totaling 10 ingredients; notes adding Jiangjiang for cold).
Tao's Effective Formula states that Jinya Jiu treats foot weakness, wind-cold bi dragging, and makes one fat and strong, surpassing previous condition by a hundredfold. It can restore those who have been unable to walk or speak for thirty years. Zhao Yinyang suffered from bi dragging for twenty-six years, muscles cold as iron, leaving only bones. After taking this for thirty days, he could stand. This is a secret recipe passed down generations in Mount Tai families.
