For conditions such as Bi Yuan (Nasal Sinusitis), Bi Zhi (Nasal Polyps), fleshy growths in the nasal cavity, nasal obstruction, and nasal sores, use Xin Yi Hua Bao (Magnolia Flower Bud, also known as Wood Pen Flower). Remove the red fleshy parts and hairs. Soak in water decocted from Banana Stem (Musa Basjoo) overnight, dry by baking, and grind into powder. Add She Xiang (Moschus/Musk, 3 li). Dip scallion white (Cong Bai) into the powder and insert it into the nostrils. This is extremely effective after several applications.

If hair grows inside the nasal cavity, growing one or two chi (approx. 30-60 cm) day and night, gradually thickening like a rope, with unbearable pain, this is caused by excessive consumption of pig, cow, or sheep blood. Use Zhu Mao (Pig Hair, baked)... [Text fragment].

If foreign objects enter the nose causing distending pain and inability to expel them, take Niu You (Beef Tallow) the size of a jujube pit, insert it into the nose. When the oil melts, the object will become lubricated and exit naturally.

Sheng Pu Huang (Polygoni Hydropiperis Herba, 2 qian), Chuan Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma), and Ding Shang Mei Hua Bing Pian (Plum Blossom Borneol, each 1 qian). Grind together into fine powder, mix with Ma You (Sesame Oil), and apply externally.

Huang Lian (Coptidis Rhizoma, 2 liang), Tong Lv (Malachite), Ku Fan (Alumen Exsiccatum, 1.5 qian), and Gong Fen (Lead Carbonate/White Lead, 3 qian). Boil into an ointment. Before use, add Bing Pian (Borneol) and She Xiang (Moschus, 1 li) and apply.

If the lips are swollen and black, with unbearable itching and pain, take four large copper coins, rub them against pig fat on a stone, and apply frequently to the affected area. (Treating according to the method for Ding Chuang (Carbuncle/Furuncle) is also acceptable).

For lip sores, apply Tou Gou (Head Scurf/Dandruff) three times daily. For sores around the lips resembling yellow wax, use Xuan Fu Hua (Inulae Flos, roasted on tiles until carbonized but retaining its nature), grind into powder, and mix with Zhen Ma You (True Sesame Oil) for application. Wa Song (Wutong Moss) and Sheng Jiang Zhi (Ginger Juice) are pounded into a paste, with a little salt added, and applied.
