Realgar (0.75 g), Calomel (0.5 g), and Apricot Kernels (30 seeds, peeled) are ground together into a powder. Mix with bile from a male pig and apply topically.

Another prescription: Catechu and Apricot Kernel Paste (each 0.5 g), Calomel (0.25 g), and Borneol (0.15 g). Mix with goose bile and apply once. The crusts will fall off overnight. (One formula)

Decoct Water Duckweed (Spirodela polyrhiza) to extract the juice. Soak and wash for half a day. Repeat every few days.

For Tianxing Reqi Bing (Epidemic Heat Disease) and Wandou Chuang (Smallpox or similar vesicular eruptions). Boil Sorghum Straw (Sorghum vulgare stems) juice thickly and wash the lesions.

Alternatively, if the sores turn black, crush fresh garlic and apply as a poultice.

Alternatively, if the sores are also black and sized like scabies lesions, decoct Sheep Fat (Ovis aries fat) and massage/apply it to the area.

Fresh Crucian Carp slices, crushed with salt, applied topically. Change frequently.

Old umbrella hats and worn leather soles, baked and ground to ash. Mixed with Osmanthus Oil (Osmanthus fragrans oil) for application; highly effective.

True Asphaltum (Asphaltum judaicum), boiled until viscous, applied topically. Alternatively, dry Taro shoots (Colocasia esculenta), burn until "preserving nature" (charred but retaining medicinal properties), grind, and rub on lesions. Alternatively, burn Hibiscus Seeds (Hibiscus mutabilis) until charred, mix with Pig Marrow (Sus scrofa domesticus marrow) and apply.

Shells [text missing specific shell type], burned to ash, mixed with Sesame Oil (Sesamum indicum) for application. Alternatively, Gypsum Fibrosum (Shigao) [dosage missing], Dragon Bone (Longgu) [dosage missing], Pine Rosin (Songxiang), and Alum (Kufan) (each 1.5 g) are ground together. Mix with oil rendered from Chicken Egg Yolk (Jizihuang) for application. Alternatively, for lesions on the head and face, equal parts of Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu) and Glutinous Rice Flour (Nuomicifen) are stir-fried until dry, ground uniformly, and sprinkled on the lesions.

Apply Lotus Leaf (Heye) to the lesions. Alternatively, crush Luffa Leaves (Siguye) to extract juice and apply. Alternatively, crush fresh Lily Bulbs (Baibai) and apply; relief within one to two days. Alternatively, grind Lotus Seed Pods (Lianpengke) [2 liang, inferred] into powder, mix with Well Mud (Jingni) for application. Alternatively, stir-fry raw Broad Bean Pods (Can Dou Jia Ke) until black, grind into powder, and mix with Sesame Oil for application.

Roll Realgar in Fire Paper (Huozhi), fumigate bedding three times to cure. Avoid fumigation before sleep. Alternatively, use Croton Seed Oil (Dafengzi You) [100 seeds], Cnidium Fruit (Shechuangzi) (1.5 g), Alum (Kufan), and Sichuan Pepper (Huajiao) (each 1.5 g). Grind into powder. Mix with Candle Oil (Zhuyou) and Pig Fat (Zhu You) (each 1.5 g), pound until smooth, melt, and mix for topical application. Alternatively, [Acorus/Tianchangpu implied by "Chang"], take before bed, and wash with decoction; cured in a few days.

Light a candle and shine it on the sores, allowing the heat to reach the lesions; this cures them. Alternatively, grind equal parts of Cornus Root (Zhuyu Gen), Sanguisorba Root (Diyu Gen), and Rose Root (Qiangwei Gen) into powder. Wash the sores, take the medicinal liquid, and apply to the lesions, three times daily.

Alum (Kufan) and Talcum (Huashi) (each 1.5 g), and Sulfur (Liuhuang) (1 g) are ground into fine powder. Grind with Pig Fat (Zhu You) to make an ointment; extremely effective. Alternatively, Red Dates (Hong Zao) (3 pieces), Mugwort (Ai Ye), Realgar (Xionghuang), and Sichuan Pepper (Huajiao) (each 0.15 g) are burned in a stove to fumigate clothes and bedding. Allow to cool completely before wearing/covering, avoiding direct contact with fire heat; very effective. Alternatively, [Wind-dispelling herb implied by "Feng"], mix with Vinegar and Fermented Rice Water (Cu Jiang Shui) for application; symptoms reduce immediately. Wash with leachate from Calcined Alum Stone (Duanshi); very effective.
