Take the flower of *Raphanus sativus* (Buhua) and a large radish (*Lapi*, one). Hollow out the radish. Insert a raw egg white (*Jidanbai*, one), wrap it securely, and plant it in the soil. Wait until it flowers and sets seed. Then retrieve the egg white, grind it into fine powder. Add prepared calamine (*Lu Ganshi*, Bai Lu Ganshi: preferably that which floats on water, soaked in children's urine for seven days, calcined with charcoal fire in a crucible used for cinnabar until red, then soaked again in children's urine for ten days, dried, and ground; dosage: 1 qian), real bear bile (*Xiong Dan*, 5 fen), and plum-blossom borneol (*Bingpian*) from the top grade resembling teeth color (1.5 li). Grind all together into a fine powder. Mix with honey to apply to the eyes.
When floral nebulae (*Huayi*) grow in the eyes, causing astringency and pain making them difficult to open: crush *Shenhuo Cao* (Aconitum coreanum or similar herb known as "Caution Fire Herb") to extract juice. Apply to the eyes three to five times daily.
Take yellow loess soil from three chi below the surface, stir into water, let it settle to clarify, and use this water to wash the eyes. Alternatively, have someone chew mother ginger (*Mujiang*), and use their tongue to lick the affected area six to seven times daily.
Grind one *Chuanbeimu* (Fritillaria cirrhosa bulb) and seven grains of *Baihu Jiao* (White Sichuan Pepper) into powder. Form pills using juice from green onion bulbs (*Congtou*), sized like *Baizi* (Platycladi Semen). Apply with a plaster patch to restore clear vision.
Mix equal parts of carp brain (*Liyu Nao*) and carp gallbladder (*Liyu Dan*). Blend and drip into the eyes three times daily for good effect. (Also treats *Que Mu* / Night Blindness).
Obtain blood from the head of a sparrow (*Quetou*). Drip into the eye for immediate efficacy.
Decoct the seedlings and leaves of *Difukui* (Kochia scoparia) and wash with the decoction.
Mix one male rat gallbladder (*Xiongshu Dan*) and one carp gallbladder (*Liyu Dan*) evenly. Drip into the eyes every morning upon waking. Alternatively, take one pig gallbladder (*Zhudan*), simmer gently over low heat. Form pills the size of millet seeds (*Shumi*) and insert into the eye. Recovery occurs after the time it takes to eat a meal.
Boil one hundred black beans (*Heidou*), five yellow chrysanthemum flowers (*Huang Juhua*), and six qian of mirabilite (*Pinxiao*) in one zhong of water until reduced to seventy percent. Fumigate and wash the eyes while hot. Wash for five consecutive days; vision may be restored within one year. Avoid tea and emotional anger in daily life. Additionally, take one chicken gallbladder (*Jidan*), add half a spoonful of honey, tie the gallbladder tightly with thread, and hang it under the eaves in a ventilated place away from sunlight. After twenty-one days, discard the pig gallbladder residue and retain the chicken gallbladder. First moisten the affected area with human milk (*Renru*), then apply the chicken gallbladder fluid using a hairpin. The whole body will feel cool, with tearing and sweating; clarity returns after two or three applications. Avoid tea for one hundred days. Decoct mulberry leaves (*Sangye*) harvested after the Frost Descent solar term for use, and avoid anger.
Mix seven carp gallbladders (*Jiyu Dan*) with one zhan of human milk (*Renru*). Steam once or twice over rice. Apply to the eyes; tears will naturally cease.
