Cottonseed is burned to ash. Each time, apply one qian (approx. 3-5g) of the ash to the affected area. Alternatively, apply Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis, fried and ground into powder) and Hufen (Galena/Lead White Powder, equal parts) to the affected area.

Machixian (Herba Portulacae Oleraceae, burned and ground into powder) is applied to the affected area.

This condition is caused by cold pathogen invasion. Use Liuhuang (Sulfur) and Wuzhuyu (Fructus Evodiae Officinalis), each three qian (approx. 9-15g), ground into an extremely fine powder. Mix the powder with juice extracted from Congbai (Bulbus Allii Cepae) and apply it to the navel and abdomen. Additionally, fumigate with smoke from burning mugwort. Prepare a basin of warm water, hold the infant, and immerse the scrotum in the water. Then, place the infant across the center of the door threshold. Burn mugwort fire three times at the damp mark left by the infant on the threshold. The scrotum will gradually shrink back to normal size. This method is highly effective. Another method involves using Shixie (Stone Crab). Hang Shuangdiqie (Double-stemmed Eggplant) on the door frame. Observe it when entering or exiting. When the eggplant withers, the affected area will also wither. When the eggplant dries up completely, the disease is cured. Another method: hang two eggplants on the door, hold the child and look at them two or three times, then drive nails into the eggplants. The swelling will subside after more than ten days.

Gancao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis) is decocted thickly to extract the juice. Mix the juice with Dilong Fen (Excrement of Earthworms) and apply it to the affected area.

Laoshanmu (Old Fir Wood) is burned to ash while retaining its medicinal properties. Add Gongfen (Lead White Powder) and Qingyou (Pure Oil), mix well, and apply externally.

This swelling is caused by being "blown upon" by earthworms. Have a woman use a bellows to blow air onto the swollen area; the swelling will subside immediately. Alternatively, grind Zhenpengsha (Borax) into powder, mix with water, and apply externally. Xionghuang (Realgar) can also reduce the swelling.

The scrotum is swollen, pendulous, and shiny, accompanied by crying and pain. Wash with a decoction of Chantui (Periostracum Cicadae, one liang/approx. 30-50g). Then, crush fresh Zisuye (Folium Perillae) into a paste and wrap the affected area. The condition will heal. Alternatively, prick the thin skin at the tip of the penis with pig bristle to allow urination to resume.

Urination has been blocked for several days, accompanied by generalized edema. Decoct Ziye (Folium Perillae, one jin/approx. 500g) in a large basin of water to make a strong decoction. Hold the infant over the basin to inhale the steam. Replace with hot water when it cools down.

Pound them together into a cake, bake it, and apply it to cover the navel. After a long period, urination will naturally resume.
