Bai Fan (Alumen, 1 liang) Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 5 qian) Xiong Huang (Realgar, 1 liang) San Qi (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang) Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, 1 liang) Qing Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 5 qian) Chuan Bei Mu (Fritillariae Cirrhosae Bulbus, 1 liang) Wu Ling Zhi (Trogopteri Dung, 1 liang) Zhu Sha (Cinnabaris, 1 qian) Grind all into fine powder. Form pills using rice paste as a binder. Coat with Zhu Sha powder.
(Treats various Ding sores and swellings, as well as traumatic injuries, muscle spasms, deep-seated abscesses; also treats scrofula on the head and neck of men and women, lymphatic nodules from breast abscesses, stagnation of phlegm and qi, and carbuncles arising after smallpox/variolous eruptions.)
Fan Mu Bie (Strychni Semen, 4 liang. Soak in rice washing water for three days, scrape off hairs and skin, slice and dry, stir-fry thoroughly with sesame oil.) Jia Pian (Pangolin Scale, 1.5 liang, stir-fried until brittle and breaking easily) Grind both into powder. Mix with yellow rice paste to form pills, size of Sophora seeds. Take 0.5 qian per dose, adjust according to patient's constitution. Use guiding herbs based on the affected area, decocted in soup for administration. Keep warm and sleep; avoid exposure to wind. If numbness or trembling occurs due to wind exposure, do not panic; it will settle shortly.
