疮疥之生，独由于湿，故南方卑下之地，患生最多。昔书皆言湿热所致，方中皆用生地
凉血
，未见医愈一人。且以熏罨为法，熏虽疮愈，然毒归腹，定成疮 。凡患诸疮，宜戒沐浴，
浴则湿气愈重，难以速痊。痊后再戒月余，庶免复发，忌食鸡羊虾蟹一应发毒新鲜等物，并
戒房事。欲愈诸疮者，非得良方，未易痊也。按其名类，有脓窠、癞疥、绣球风、猴狲疳、
泾风顽癣、蛀发癣、小儿疳、肥疮、蜡梨、火珠、 疮、烂腿、漆疮。
马曰∶诸疮癞癣，用药水洗，亦可见功。憔熏则不宜。
又曰∶有热者，生地又在所必用。湿重者，当用二妙为妥。
遇此二症，用合掌散二钱，可敷数次痊愈。临用以右手中指罗门，粘满香油，再在包内
粘药
，涂入左手心，合掌数摩。俟药止有气而不见形，将两掌擦疮，每日早晚擦二次，三日扫光
，再擦三四日不发。
马曰∶此治癞疥之主方，用之得宜，效如影响。惟肾囊上不可用。
照前法以二美散蘸入手心，合掌摩擦，每日二次，愈后再擦三四日。
此等症，以五美散和嫩膏调敷，外以棉纸掩绑，不可动揭。五日后揭下，再敷一二次痊
愈。如湿毒痒极，先以金银散敷上，次以前膏加敷。
马曰∶与合掌散同。
The occurrence of sores and scabies is solely due to dampness; therefore, in the low-lying and humid regions of the South, this disease is most prevalent. Ancient texts all attribute it to damp-heat, using Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) to cool blood in prescriptions, yet no physician has achieved a cure. Furthermore, employing fumigation and poultice methods may heal the surface sores, but the toxin retreats into the abdomen, inevitably leading to severe malignant sores. Patients suffering from various sores should abstain from bathing, as bathing increases dampness and hinders rapid recovery. After recovery, one must continue abstinence for over a month to prevent recurrence. One must avoid consuming chicken, mutton, shrimp, crab, and other fresh foods that trigger toxins, and also abstain from sexual intercourse. To cure various sores without a good prescription is difficult. Classified by name, they include Nongke (Pustular Sores), Laijie (Leprous Scabies), Xiuqiufeng (Embroidered Ball Wind), Housun Gan (Monkey's Pityriasis), Jingfeng Wanxuan (Jing Wind Stubborn Tinea), Zhufa Xuan (Biting Hair Tinea), Xiao'er Gan (Childhood Pityriasis), Feichuang (Fatty Sores), Lali (Wax Pear), Huozhu (Fire Pearl), [Text Missing], Lan Tui (Rotten Leg), and Qichuang (Lacquer Sores).
Ma said: For various sores and leprosy-like tinea, washing with medicinal water can yield results. However, burning and fumigating is not suitable.
He further stated: If there are signs of heat, Shengdi Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) is indispensable. If dampness is heavy, Er Miao San (Two Marvels Powder) is appropriate.
For these two conditions, apply Hezhang San (Clapping Hands Powder), 2 qian, several times until cured. When applying, use the pad of the right middle finger to soak up fragrant sesame oil, then dip into the powder packet to coat the left palm. Rub both palms together. Wait until the medicinal scent dissipates and the form disappears, then rub the palms against the affected area. Apply twice daily, morning and evening. The lesions will be cleared in three days, and continued application for three to four more days will prevent recurrence.
Ma said: This is the primary formula for treating Laijie (Leprous Scabies). When used appropriately, its efficacy is immediate. However, it must not be used on the scrotum.
Following the previous method, dip Ermie San (Two Beauties Powder) into the palm, rub hands together twice daily. Continue rubbing for three to four days after recovery.
For such conditions, mix Wumei San (Five Beauties Powder) with Nen Gao (Tender Ointment) and apply externally, covering with cotton paper and binding tightly. Do not disturb or peel off prematurely. After five days, remove and apply again once or twice for a cure. If damp-toxin causes extreme itching, first apply Jinyin San (Silver and Gold Powder), followed by the aforementioned ointment.
Ma said: Same as Hezhang San (Clapping Hands Powder).
Apply Jinyin San (Silver and Gold Powder) mixed with vinegar to stop itching. If the skin is broken with extremely itchy ulcers, apply mixed with white honey.
