If the patient exhibits red meridians extending vertically through the pupils in both eyes within two days, one meridian indicates death in one year; one and a half meridians indicate death in one and a half years; two meridians indicate death in two years; three meridians indicate death in three years. Cases without red meridians are treatable. If only one eye is affected while the other is not, the prognosis is mixed but still treatable. If treatment is not initiated early, it is feared that the red meridian from one eye may spread to both, so careful observation is essential.
For moxibustion treatment of Scrofula (Luo Li), use a slice of single-clove garlic, thicker than two stacked copper coins, placed on the lesion. Apply nine moxa cones (Moxa) made from Qi moxa. Alternatively, apply moxa cones equal to the patient's age. Immediate application at the onset can lead to cure. If there are five or seven nodules, first moxa the Mother point, then the Son point, followed by the Grandson point, and finally the Ancestor point. Moxibustion can be applied regardless of whether the lesion has ulcerated.
Have the patient place both hands supine on their shoulders and slightly lift the heels. Apply seven moxa cones above the tip of the medial malleolus. If nodules exist on both sides, moxa both points. If present on only one side, apply left-sided lesions to the right point and right-sided lesions to the left point. Also, moxa the Jianjing (GB21) point located above the acromion process, using the same method as above.
Li Xiao San (Instant Efficacy Powder)
Suitable for initial onset. Also known as Liu Yi San (Six-to-One Powder), Tian Shui San (Heavenly Water Powder), or Yi Yuan San (Benefiting Origin Powder). The goal is complete expulsion of toxins. Subsequently, nourish the body with white glutinous rice congee. Then, take 1 qian of Hu Po (Amber) powder mixed with Deng Xin Cao (Juncus Effusus) decoction to cleanse foul toxins from the urine, ensuring root removal and preventing recurrence. If abdominal pain persists, indicating incomplete toxin expulsion, drink cold tea to stop the pain. If pain continues, take Fang Feng (Saposhnikovia Root) powder mixed with boiling water to stop it; do not use tea.
