Bazhen Tang (Eight-Treasure Decoction), Liuwei Dihuang Wan (Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill), Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Decoction to Supplement the Middle and Augment the Qi) (see Ulcer Section), Yangmei Yiji San (One-Dose Powder for Syphilis) (see Yangmei Section), Jiawei Wubao Dan (Modified Five-Treasure Powder) (see Daofa Section), Jiawei Xiaoyao San (Modified Free and Easy Wanderer Powder) (see Luoli Section).
Yin wet sores arise at the pubic region. They resemble scabies or tinea, with unbearable itching. This is caused by Kidney deficiency combined with Wind-Heat. Apply Yin Xing San (Ginkgo Powder). The initial application causes severe pain; endure it. After applying three times daily for three days, the pain will cease and complete healing will occur. If, in the pubic region, lesions appear like beans or cakes, accompanied by itching and the formation of waxy crusts, this is syphilis. Treat it according to the protocols in the Syphilis Section.
Yin Xing San: Treats Yin wet sores with itching so intense it feels as if penetrating to the bone.
Ingredients: Xionghuang (Realgar), Gan Baiguo (Dried Ginkgo Seed, powdered), Chao Nao (Camphor), Sheng Kuangzi Hui (Ash of raw mineral ore) (equal parts).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with dry distilled liquor (Shaojiu) to form a paste for topical application.
Sores of the Yin organs: In terms of climatic influences (Yunqi), all are attributed to Cold. The Classic states: "When Taiyang dominates, ulcers occur in the Yin region, leading to dysfunction in private matters. Treat with bitter-hot herbs." Zhang Zhongjing stated: "If the Shaoyin pulse is slippery and rapid, sores will appear in the Yin region. If the Shaoyin pulse is long, prolapse of the Yin organ will occur."
The genitalia are the convergence point of the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian and the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel). The Suwen states: "The Luo vessel of the Du Mai (Governor Vessel) circulates through the genitalia and converges between the anus and genitals," thus also relating to the Du Mai. As for the Foot-Taiyang Bladder Meridian, it externally corresponds to clear water and internally belongs to the Bladder, governing water passages. The Hand-Taiyang Small Intestine Meridian externally corresponds to Huai water and internally belongs to the Small Intestine, from which water passages emerge; thus, they also relate to the Hand and Foot Taiyang meridians. The Kidney governs water metabolism, thus relating to the Foot-Shaoyin Kidney Meridian. Fluids enter the Stomach, their essence overflows and is transported upward to the Spleen. The Spleen disperses essences, sending them upward to the Lung. The Lung regulates water passages, transporting them downward to the Bladder; thus, they also relate to the Hand-Taiyin Lung Meridian. The Suwen further states that the anterior Yin is where Zongjin (General Tendons) gather, and is the convergence of the Taiyin and Yangming meridians; thus, it also relates to the Spleen and Stomach. When abscesses and sores arise in these areas, one must carefully investigate the etiology and assign responsibility correctly. One should not focus exclusively on the Jueyin Meridian, treating only with Liver-clearing and dampness-draining methods, to avoid error.
Yin Tingt (Prolapse of the Yin): A structure resembling a snake's head protrudes from the vagina. This is caused by deficiency of the Foot-Taiyin Spleen, or by anger experienced postpartum, or by Wind invasion during menstruation. Initially, employ clearing heat and dispersing wind. On the following morning, administer Buzhong Yiqi Tang (Decoction to Supplement the Middle and Augment the Qi) with increased dosage of Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma). In the evening, administer Longdan Xiegan Tang (Gentian Liver-Draining Decoction). Concurrently, apply external washes and poultices.
