[General Formulas]
For all carbuncles, sores, and malignant ulcers, to prevent the internal attack of toxic heat, take one jin (approx. 500g) of pure sesame oil, boil it in a silver vessel for more than ten boils, let it cool, and use it. Take two bowls of wine and add five zhan (approx. 250g) of sesame oil.
In cases of herbal medicine poisoning, immediately drink sesame oil, and the toxicity will dissipate. This method has proven effective repeatedly.
Note: This formula is most suitable for patients with constipation and toxin accumulation within the body, serving to unblock and expel toxins. It is not suitable for patients with yin abscesses or loose stools.
When an ulcer first appears with intense toxic heat and stagnant blood that does not disperse, this method should be used to curb its momentum. Take one large leech, place it inside a pen tube, and apply the tube opening to the affected area to suck blood. If bleeding does not stop, apply mud from lotus roots to stop it. If the head of the sore is not yet distinct, apply mud from beside a well; the place where it dries first indicates the correct suction point.
This method is suitable for yin abscesses, back carbuncles, flowing nodules, and bone-attacking sores. Take a mulberry branch nine cun long, split it to the thickness of a finger, ignite one end, and after a moment, blow it out. Use the residual heat to fumigate the affected area. It can relieve pain and resolve stasis and swelling; if already ulcerated, it tonifies yang qi, disperses residual toxins, and promotes flesh regeneration. For severe pain in yin syndromes or a sensation of heaviness as if carrying a stone, using this method at the onset can cause internal resolution by draining toxic fluids. In chronic cases, even if ulcerated, the depth will be shallow and painless.
For carbuncles, back carbuncles, hemorrhoids and fistulas, malignant sores, and stubborn ulcers that fail to heal, take a piece of ox-hide glue, boil it in water until the consistency is appropriate, spread it thickly on paper. Each time, decoct two liang of scallions in water, wash the area while hot to remove the glue paper. Apply external plaster. The next day, steam and wash again as before, until pus is exhausted and the sore is dry.
