For mouth lock (Jin) caused by wind-stroke, it is because the sinews of all Yang meridians are located in the head. The sinews of the three Yang meridians converge and knot into the mandible and both cheeks, flanking the mouth.
To treat mouth lock (Jin) due to wind-stroke with stiff and tense sinews, body heat, and restlessness, the Fangji San (Han Fangji Powder) formula is suitable.
Fangji (Root of Stephania Tetrandra), 3 liang; Gegen (Puerariae Radix), 3 liang, cut into small pieces; Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), 2 liang; Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba), 2 liang, remove root nodes; Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), 1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and cut into small pieces.
Crush and sieve the above herbs into a powder. Take 4 qian per dose. Add 1 zhong zhan of water and 0.5 ban fen of Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma). Decoct until reduced to 6 fen. Remove dregs. Let cool to a warm temperature. Take at any time.
To treat wind-stroke causing chest oppression and mouth lock (Jin), the Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder) formula is suitable.
Lingyangjiao Xie (Antelopi Cornu), 1 liang; Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), 1 liang, remove rhizome; Gegen (Puerariae Radix), 1 liang, cut into small pieces; Gan Juhua (Chrysanthemi Flos), 1 liang; Mutong (Akebiae Caulis), 1 liang, cut into small pieces; Renshen (Ginseng Radix), 1 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and cut into small pieces.

Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus), 1 liang, bran-fried until slightly yellow; Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), 2 liang, remove rhizome; Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), 2 liang, honey-fried until slightly red and cut into small pieces; Hanfangji (Stephaniae Tetrandrae Radix), 1 liang; Mahuang (Ephedrae Herba), 1 liang; Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix), 1 liang.

Let cool to a warm temperature. Divide into five doses. Take at any time. Pry open the mouth and administer.
To treat wind-stroke causing mouth lock (Jin), stiff and tense sinews, and pain, the Duhuo San (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix Powder) formula is suitable.
Duhuo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), 2 liang; Heidou (Sojae Semen Nigrum), 1 he, cut into small pieces and stir-fried until cooked; Tiannanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma), 0.5 liang, processed until cracked; Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma), 0.5 liang; Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), 1 liang, remove rhizome.
Cut the above herbs finely. Add 5 da zhan of Qingjiu (clear wine). Decoct to obtain 3 da zhan. Pour into a bottle, cover tightly, and let stand for a long time. Remove dregs. Xiaoli (Pyrus bretschneideri fruit), 3 pieces, juice extracted; Jiujing (Vinum), 1 he; Bohe Zhi (Menthae Haplocalycis Juice), 1 he; Shengjiang Zhi (Zingiberis Rhizoma Juice), 1 he; Zhuli (Bambusae Sap), 1 he.
Mix the above ingredients. Boil for two or three boils. Divide into three warm doses. Take at any time. Pry open the mouth and administer. Effect will be immediate upon completion.

Chuanwutou (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix), 0.5 liang, burned to ash; Nifen (Calomelas); Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum). Grind the above herbs uniformly.
