If a person is traveling and encounters biting cold winds, bitter rains, heavy frost, or great snow, causing their clothes to become wet and soaked, cold qi enters the zang organs. This leads to the severance of yang qi on the exterior and the stagnation of Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) qi. This describes the treatment for freezing death.
Prepare a large amount of ash from burning fire vessels, place it in a warm pouch to keep it hot, and apply it to the heart region. Replace it when it cools down. Once warmth returns to the heart and qi flows freely, the eyes will be able to move, and the mouth will open.
The so-called "Nine Worms" include: first, the Fu Worm (Hidden Worm), measuring four fen; second, the Hui Worm (Roundworm), measuring one chi; third, the Bai Worm (White Worm), measuring one cun; fourth, the Rou Worm (Flesh Worm), resembling rotten flesh... [text missing/fragmented] ...These worms reside in the intestines and stomach, causing mental restlessness, vomiting, and expulsion of worms. The Ye Lang Ya San (Wild Wolf's Tooth Powder) formula is suitable.
Ye Lang Ya (Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosi, 1 liang), Heshae Fructus (Hesha, 1 liang, lightly stir-fried on paper), Guanzhong Rhizoma (Guanzhong, 1 liang), Wuyi Ren (Semen Toosendan, 1 liang).
Crush the above herbs and sieve them through a fine mesh to make a powder. Take 1 qian each time, mixed with rice water. Repeat after some time until the worms are expelled.
For treating Nine Worms residing in the zang organs, multiplying over time due to long-term infestation, to expel the worms, the Binglang San (Areca Seed Powder) formula is suitable.
Binglang (Semen Arecae, 1 liang), Wuyi Ren (Semen Toosendan, 0.5 liang), Ye Lang Ya (Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosi, 2 fen [variant text notes 1 fen]), Bailian Radix (Bailian, 1 fen), Heshae Fructus (Hesha, 1 fen, lightly stir-fried on paper).
Crush the above herbs and sieve them through a fine mesh to make a powder. Do not eat dinner on the day of taking this medicine. Wait until the fourth watch (around 1-3 AM), then take 3 qian mixed with warm water. The worms will be discharged via stool.
For treating Nine Worms, the Wuyi San (Toosendan Seed Powder) formula is used.
Wuyi Ren (Semen Toosendan, 0.5 liang), Ye Lang Ya (Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosi, 0.5 liang), Binglang (Semen Arecae, 3 fen), Shiliu Genpi (Cortex Punicae Granati, 3 fen).
Crush the above herbs and sieve them through a fine mesh to make a powder. Take 2 qian each time on an empty stomach daily, mixed with warm wine.
For treating various diseases caused by the activity of Nine Worms, the Guanzhong Wan (Guanzhong Pill) formula is used.
Guanzhong Rhizoma (Guanzhong, 1 liang), Shican (Lithophaga, 1 liang), Ye Lang Ya (Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosi, 1 liang), Lu [missing character, likely a herb], Shuxi [likely Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae, 3 fen], Bai Jiangcan (Bombyx Batryticatus, 3 fen, lightly stir-fried), Leiwan (Semen Pyrethri, 1.5 liang), Wuyi Ren (Semen Toosendan, 1 liang).
Crush the above herbs and sieve them into powder. Mix with refined honey and pound 300-200 times. Form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 7 pills before meals with warm grain water.
For treating Nine Worms, the Gouji San (Dogspine Powder) formula is used.
Gouji (Rhizoma Cibotii, 1 liang [variant text notes]), Xiong (Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong, 1 liang), Xixin (Herba Asari, 1 liang), Bai Wuyi (Semen Toosendan, 1 liang).
Crush the above herbs and sieve them through a fine mesh to make a powder. After the third watch, first eat 2-3 liang of plain dried beef jerky. At the beginning of the fifth watch (around 3-5 AM), take 3 qian mixed with rice water. Continue until the worms are expelled.
For treating Nine Worms, the Shexiang Wan (Musk Pill) formula is used.

Crush the above herbs and sieve them into powder. Add the Badou and other ground medicines, mix evenly. Form pills with refined honey, the size of Sophora seeds. Take 5 pills on an empty stomach with warm wine.
For treating various worms in the stomach causing gradual emaciation:
Jizi Bai (Albumen Ovi Galli, 2 units), La (Beeswax, 3 fen), Mi (Honey, 1 he), Ganqi (Resina Taxilli, 1.5 liang, crushed, ground, stir-fried until smoke appears, then made into powder).
Place the above ingredients in a copper vessel and simmer slowly over low heat until moldable. Form pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 7 pills on an empty stomach with rice water, gradually increasing to 10 pills. This should expel the worms, followed by the discharge of yellow fluid.
For treating Liver Lao (Liver Exhaustion) disease caused by long worms, characterized by fear and unease, and redness in the eyes, this formula is suitable:
Jizi (Egg, 5 units, shell removed), Dongyin Wuzhuyu Gen (Radix Evodiae Officinalis from east-facing branches, 3 liang, chopped), La (Beeswax, 3 liang), Jingmi Fen (Flumen Oryzae Sativae, 1 liang).

For treating Heart Lao (Heart Exhaustion) with heat and thirst, where long worms reside in the heart, measuring one chi, circling the heart causing pain, use the Leiwan Wan (Leiwan Pill) formula:
Leiwan (Semen Pyrethri, 1 liang), Chen Ju Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, 1 liang, soaked in water, white pith removed, dried), Ye Lang Ya (Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosi, 1.5 liang), Guanzhong Rhizoma (Guanzhong, 1 liang), Tao Ren (Semen Persicae, 1 liang, soaked in water, skin and tip removed, crushed, fried...).

For treating Spleen Lao (Spleen Exhaustion) with heat, where white worms measure one chi and cause disease in the spleen, leading to frequent retching without vomiting, use the Qianhu San (Peucedani Radix Powder) formula:
Qianhu (Radix Peucedani, 1 liang, remove rhizome head), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 1 liang), Chi Fuling (Poria Cum Rosa Xanthoxylatis, 1 liang), Zhiqiao (Fructus Aurantii, 1 liang, bran-fried until slightly yellow, pith removed), Xixin (Herba Asari, 0.5 liang), Xuanjinhua (Flos Inulae, 0.5 liang), Longdan (Radix Gentianae, 0.5 liang, remove rhizome head), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 0.5 liang, soaked in water, skin and tip removed, double-kernel, bran-fried until slightly yellow).

Crush all ingredients thoroughly. Decoct in five sheng of wine until three sheng remain. Strain. Take one small cup warm before meals. When preparing the medicine, do not speak, as the worms may hear and refuse to eat. Remember this strictly; it is very effective.
For treating Lung Lao (Lung Exhaustion) with heat damaging the lungs and generating worms, causing cough, asthma, and panting. Some attribute this to emotional distress, qi obstruction, and alternating chills and fever, but it stems from exhaustion.
