The causes of infertility in women are mainly threefold: first, the ancestral tomb lacks descendants to offer sacrifices (a superstitious belief); second, the birth years and fates of the husband and wife are mutually incompatible; third, the husband is ill while the wife suffers from rashes or skin diseases. All these conditions can lead to an inability to conceive. However, the cessation of menstruation is a key factor in treating infertility.
For treating wind-cold invading the uterus, where cold qi stagnates and does not disperse, leading to reduced fertility, use Zhiyanshi Wan (Purple Quartz Pill).
Zhiyanshi (Purple Quartz) (2 liang, finely ground and processed by water flotation), Tianmendong (Asparagi Radix) (1.5 liang, heart removed and dried), Ziwei (Lagerstroemiae Flos) (1 liang), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (1 liang, honey-fried until slightly reddish and cut into small pieces), Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus Cortex) (1 liang), Mumeng (Puerariae Radix) (1 liang), Chuanwutou (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) (1 liang, processed until cracked, peel and umbilical scar removed), Shugan Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata) (1 liang), Xinti Ren (Magnoliae Flos) (1 liang), Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis) (1 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma) (3 qian, rhizome removed), Duan (Dipsaci Radix) (0.5 liang).

Infertility in women is often caused by the five labors and seven injuries, resulting in physical weakness, emaciation, and various ailments. It is suitable to take Wuweizi Wan (Schisandra Berry Pill).
