Pediatric patients in winter may suffer from cold pathogenic factors damaging the skin and muscles. Cold condenses with blood and qi, causing stagnation and涩ness (sluggish flow) of blood and qi, thereby generating sores. The affected area swells and is difficult to heal, potentially extending to deeper skin layers.
For pediatric frostbite-induced ear sores, presenting with itching or pain, use Huangbai San (Phellodendron Bark Powder):
Phellodendri Cortex (Huangbai), Akebiae Caulis (Bailian) (each 0.5 liang).
Pulverize the above herbs through a fine sieve to make a powder. First wash the sore with hot water, then mix the powder with raw sesame oil for topical application.
For pediatric frostbite-induced foot sores, presenting with itching or pain, use this formula:
Tritici Fructus (Xiaomai) (0.5 jin), Sorghum Chaff (Rangcao) (three handfuls).
Boil the above herbs in one sheng of vinegar and two sheng of water until reduced to one sheng. Strain the dregs. When the liquid is warm to human body temperature, wash both feet. Frequent washing at night yields better results.
For pediatric frostbite-induced hand cracks and sores, use Bailian San (Akebiae Caulis Powder):
Akebiae Caulis (Bailian) (pulverized, 3 fen), Bletillae Rhizoma (Baiji) (pulverized, 0.5 liang), Sesami Nigri Semen (Sheng Youma) (2 he, crushed raw).
Grind the above herbs uniformly. Take one steamed radish, crush it thoroughly, and mix with the herb powder. Dilute with wine to a thin paste consistency. First wash the area with urine from a young boy, then apply immediately.
For pediatric snake bites:
Alumen (Baifan), Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Gancao) (equal parts).
Pulverize the above herbs. If bitten by a snake, accompanied by mental restlessness, heat sensation, and dark vision, take half a qian of the powder mixed with fresh well water. If swelling and redness occur... [text fragment].

Zanthoxyli Fructus (Hekoujiao) (1 liang), Xanthii Herba (Canger Miao) (1 liang).
Crush and mix, then apply topically.
Another prescription:
Zanthoxyli Fructus (Sheng Jiao) (3 liang, remove seeds), Fermented Soybean (Douchi) (2 he, stir-fried until black and scorched).
Pulverize the above herbs. Mix with saliva and apply according to the size of the wound; immediate effect is expected.

Polygalae Radix (Yuanzhi) (chewed until soft and applied), inserted into the wound cavity.
For pediatric scorpion stings:
Pinelliae Rhizoma (Banxia).
Grind with water and apply topically; pain stops immediately.

Cinnamomi Ramulus (Guixin) ground with water for topical application.

Zingiberis Rhizoma Exsiccatum (Ganjiang) chewed and applied.

Apply thick paste of live snails, crushed raw.

Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang) (natural juice).
Boil into a thick paste, add a small amount of Alumen (Baifan) powder, mix well, and apply thickly.
For pediatric spider bites:
Jujubae Folium (Zaoye), Platycladi Cacumen (Baiye) (collected on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month), Ferrugo (Shengtieyi).
Pulverize through a fine sieve, mix with raw sesame oil to form a paste. First cauterize the area with fire, then apply to the bite site; highly effective.

Realgar (Xionghuang) (1 fen), Moschus (Shexiang) (0.5 fen).
Grind finely, mix with one large cup of Isatis Folium juice (Lanzhi), stir evenly, and drop onto the bite site for immediate effect.
