When the epidemic cold (Shiqi Bing) reaches the seventh day, according to the law, it should slightly improve. The reason for this is that the transmission of pathogenic factors through the Yin and Yang meridians has concluded. If the disease does not resolve now, it indicates a transition to a "Re-Jing" condition (pathogen entering another meridian). A Re-Jing condition refers to the meridians receiving pathogenic invasion again.
For treating epidemic cold on the seventh day, characterized by mental restlessness, irritability, high fever, and inability to sleep, Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder) is indicated.
