The nature of Rushi (Mineral Stone) is hard, rigid, fierce, and potent. After ingestion, its medicinal qi often remains stagnant in the intestines and stomach. People take it due to physical deficiency, but excessive nourishment causes Qi stagnation and blockage in the Zang-Fu organs; or taking too much Rushi leads to fullness and obstruction in the Zang-Fu organs. Additionally, excessive intake of alcohol and hot-natured wheat products generates heat toxins, causing Hongjiaojiao (Gouty Arthritis/foot swelling) with Qi and Blood congestion. Symptoms include mental restlessness and heat, dry mouth, chest oppression, mental confusion, and throat discomfort.
Xijiao Xie (Rhinoceros Horn Shavings, 1 liang), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 3 fen), Xuanshen (Scrophulariae Radix, 1 liang, remove radicle), Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 0.5 liang), Weirui (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma, 3 fen), Maimendong (Ophiopogonis Radix, [text missing]), Lang [likely Binglang, 1 liang], Zisu Jingye (Perillae Caulis et Folium, 1 liang), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix, 3 fen), Qi [text unclear, likely Lan, 3 fen], Wulan (Isatidis Folium, 3 fen).
