Swelling of the external genitalia due to deficiency consumption (Xu Lao) arises from wind-heat pathogenic factors invading the Kidney Meridian. This causes Kidney deficiency, leading to an inability to disperse and circulate, resulting in swelling. Hernia (Shan) refers to pain caused by Qi stagnation; all sinews converge here.
For treating damage from deficiency consumption, with Kidney Yin deficiency manifesting as genital swelling and pain, the Hai Zao Wan (Seaweed Pill) is suitable.
Hai Zao (Algae Herb, 1 liang, washed to remove salty taste), Rou Cong Rong (Cistanche Stem, 3 fen, soaked in wine overnight, wrinkled skin scraped off, dried by roasting), Mu Li Fen (Oyster Shell Powder, 0.5 liang), Xiang Zi (Fennel Fruit, 3 fen, calyx removed), Liu Huang (Sulfur, 1 liang).

For treating severe genital swelling due to deficiency consumption, where the swelling is as large as a measuring vessel, accompanied by testicular pain, which is difficult for ordinary people to cure, use the Xiong Huang Lin Zhan Fang (Realgar Wash and Dab Formula).

Grind the above herbs into powder. Boil in three sheng of water until two sheng remain. Strain the dregs. Check the temperature for warmth or coolness. Wash the affected area in a sealed room. Afterwards, wrap the area with warm cotton cloth. Once daily.

Take Coconut (Peach) Kernels (Ye Tao Ren), remove the tips and skins, stir-fry until slightly yellow, and grind into powder. Take a pill-sized amount with hot wine, three to four times daily. The condition will resolve.

Burn chicken wings to ash. Mix two qian with porridge drink and take orally. If the swelling is on the left, use the left wing; if on the right, use the right wing.

Select fresh and high-quality Ziao Lian (Zanthoxylum and Melia fruits). Ensure they are clean and place them thickly within cotton fabric. Wrap the swollen area. Heat will quickly penetrate, yielding immediate effect. Change the dressing twice daily.
Genital ulcers due to deficiency consumption occur because Kidney Qi fails to nourish the yin region. Grind all the above herbs finely into powder. Apply topically to the ulcer for excellent results.

Ma Huang Gen Mo (Ephedra Root Powder, 0.5 liang), Liu Huang (Sulfur, 0.5 liang, finely ground), Mi Fen (Rice Flour, 1 fen).
Grind all ingredients uniformly and finely. Use as a dusting powder applied to the affected area.

Qi Lin Jie (Dragon's Blood Resin, 0.5 liang), Zhu Ru (Bamboo Shavings, 3 fen), Huang Bo (Phellodendron Bark, 0.5 fen).
