Metal weapon injuries (trauma caused by metal sharp objects), at the initial stage of injury, if the tendons are partially severed, will cause the circulation of Ying and Wei Qi (Defensive and Nutritive Qi) to be obstructed, making the wound difficult to heal. Subsequently, numbness in the affected area may occur. If the torso, elbows, wrists, knees, thighs, or ankles are completely severed by a blade, they can be reconnected. Treatment must be administered urgently while the blood and Qi are still warm; failure to remove bone fragments will cause pain.
To treat metal weapon injuries and reconnect severed tendons and bones, Duheng San Formula:
Duheng (Asarum heterotropoides, 2 liang half), She Xian (Siphonostegia chinensis, 2 liang), Diyu (Sanguisorba officinalis, 2 liang, crushed), Sheng Gan Dihuang (Rehmannia glutinosa, 2 liang half), Gan Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, processed until cracked and crushed), Chuan Jiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium, 0.5 liang, pits and closed ones removed, stir-fried until sweat appears), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex, 0.5 liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1.5 liang, crushed and slightly stir-fried), Xiongqiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 1.5 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra, 1.5 liang).
The above herbs are finely ground and sieved into a powder. Each dose is taken without regard to time, mixed with warm wine and ingested.
To treat metal weapon injuries involving severed tendons and bones with unbearable pain, Gusuibu San Formula:
Gusuibu (Drynariae Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, hairs removed, bran-stir-fried until slightly yellow), Ziran Tong (Pyritum, 0.5 liang, finely ground), Hu Jinggu (Pantheris Os, 0.5 liang, coated with butter and roasted until yellow), Bai Gui (Testudinis Carapax et Plastrum, 0.5 liang, coated with butter and roasted until slightly yellow), Moyao (Myrrha, 1 liang).
The above herbs are finely ground and sieved into a powder. Each dose is 1 qian, chewed thoroughly with half a walnut kernel, and washed down with one cup of warm wine. Taken three to four times daily.
To treat metal weapon injuries involving severed tendons and bones with pain, Moyao San Formula:
Moyao (Myrrha, 1 liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 3 fen, crushed and slightly stir-fried), Dilong (Pheretima, 3 fen, slightly stir-fried), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex, 0.5 liang, wrinkled bark removed), Ziran Tong (Pyritum, 3 fen, finely ground), Chuan Wutou (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata, 0.5 liang, processed until cracked, skin and navel removed), Gan Jiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 0.5 liang, processed until cracked).
The above herbs are finely ground and sieved into a powder. Each dose is taken without regard to time, mixed with warm wine and ingested.
To treat metal weapon injuries caused by bow and arrow strikes, resulting in severed tendons and bones and limited flexion and extension, Shudihuang San Formula is recommended:
Shu Gan Dihuang (Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, 3 fen), Xuduan (Dipsaci Radix, 3 fen), Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex, 3 fen, coarse bark removed, roasted until yellow and crushed), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1 liang, crushed and slightly stir-fried), Fuzi (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Preparata, 1 liang, processed until cracked, skin and navel removed), Qinjiao (Gentianae Macrophyllae Radix, 1 liang, sprouts removed), Gu Bai Nu Jin (Old broken bowstrings, 1 liang, burned to ash).
The above herbs are finely ground and sieved into a powder. Each dose is taken without regard to time, mixed with warm wine and ingested.
To treat knife and arrow wounds involving severed tendons and bones, relieving pain, stabilizing blood, and expelling wind, Qilin Xue San Formula:
Qilin Xue (Dragon's Blood, 0.5 liang), Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, 1 liang, crushed), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 1 liang, honey-roasted until slightly red and crushed), Baizhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix, 1 liang), Bailian (Trollii Radix, 1 liang), Baiji (Bletillae Rhizoma, 0.5 liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 1 liang, crushed and slightly stir-fried), Mituoseng (Lithargyrum, 1 liang).

Take the roots of Inula japonica (Xuanfu), crush them to extract juice, drip it into the wound, and apply the dregs on top of the wound. Seal it for fifteen days, and the tendons and bones will reconnect.
Formula for treating metal weapon injuries where tendons and bones are severed to promote regeneration:
Take a large amount of crab brain from the carapace and marrow from the legs, process them by heating, and apply to the wound. The tendons and bones will regenerate immediately for instant effect.
