Fei Shi (Flying Corpse Disease) arises without gradual onset, appearing suddenly. Its speed is as rapid as flying birds or running beasts, hence the name "Fei Shi." Its manifestations include stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, panting and rapid breathing, abdominal distension, and a sensation of Qi rushing upward to the chest and heart region.
To treat Fei Shi (where the pathogenic factor resides in the skin), also known as E Mai (Evil Vessels) or Zei Feng (Thief Wind). During attacks, headache occurs at non-fixed locations; acupuncture can shift the pain site.
[Xixin San] Xixin (Radix Asari, 1 liang), Tianxiong (Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii Preparata, 3 fen, processed until cracked, peel and umbilicus removed), Mangcao (Herba Siegesbeckiae, 1 fen, lightly roasted), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, 3 fen), Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, 1 liang, processed until cracked, peel removed). The above herbs are finely ground into powder through a fine sieve, mixed evenly with the already pulverized ingredients. Take one qian at any time, washed down with warm wine.
To treat Fei Shi, characterized by stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, panting and rapid breathing, abdominal distension, and Qi rushing upward to the chest and heart. Gua Di San (Melon Seed Powder):
Gua Di (Fructus Momordicae, 1 fen), Chi Xiaodou (Semen Phaseoli Rubri, 2 fen, stir-fried until cooked), Xionghuang (Realgar, 0.5 liang, finely ground and added). The above herbs are finely ground into powder through a fine sieve. Take half a qian at any time, mixed with warm wine.
To treat Fei Shi, Zou Ma San (Running Horse Powder):
Badou (Semen Crotonis, 2 seeds, peel and core removed, pressed between paper to remove oil), Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum, 2 seeds, soaked in hot water, peel and tip removed, double-kernel allowed). Wrap the above herbs in cotton cloth and pound until mushy. Immerse in two he of soup broth, squeeze out the white juice with fingers, and drink immediately. Within the time it takes to eat a meal, foul matter should be evacuated. Dosage for the elderly and children should be adjusted according to their condition. If foul matter is not evacuated, administer again.
To treat Fei Shi, where local swelling is bright and oily in appearance, wandering without fixed location. Zhusha San (Cinnabar Powder) is suitable:
Zhusha (Cinnabar, 1 liang, finely ground and purified by water flotation), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis, 1 liang, mustache roots removed), Huangbai (Cortex Phellodendri, 1 liang, sliced), Chenjupi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, 1 liang, soaked in hot water, white pith removed, dried). The above herbs are finely ground into powder through a fine sieve. Add Zhusha and grind again until uniform. Take two qian at any time, mixed with hot wine.
To treat Fei Shi, Dun Shi (Lurking Corpse), Han Shi (Cold Corpse), Bai Zhu (Hundred Infectious Diseases), Shi Zhu (Corpse Infectious Disease), Evil Qi Gui Wu (Ghost Collision), Gu Du (Gu Poison), Wandering Pathogenic Factors, Accumulated Fluids and Masses, and Women's Ghost Afflictions.
