[Bixie Wan Formula]
Treats wind-cold pathogenic factors. Strengthens the waist and knees. Warms the zang-fu organs. Promotes the flow of blood vessels. Tonifies the Spleen and Kidney. Enhances qi and strength.
[Ingredients and Preparation of Bixie Wan]
Herbs: Bixie (Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Rhizoma, sliced), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, with sprouts removed), Duzhong (Eucommiae Cortex, with rough bark removed, stir-baked until slightly yellow, then sliced), Suanzaoren (Ziziphi Spinosae Semen, lightly stir-fried), Baizi Ren (Platycladi Semen), Fangfeng (Saposhnikoviae Radix, with rhizome removed), Wuweizi (Schisandrae Fructus), Shihu (Dendrobii Caulis, with roots removed, sliced).
The above herbs are crushed, sifted into powder. Magnetite (Cijingshi) is ground evenly into the mixture. Honey that has been refined is used to bind the powder, which is then pounded 300-200 times. Pills are formed to the size of paulownia seeds. Take orally on an empty stomach daily, washed down with warm wine.
[Efficacy and Indications]
Treats all types of Qi-lao (chronic fatigue due to overwork). Relieves "five slacknesses" and "six tensions". Long-term consumption promotes bone growth and strengthens sinews. Nourishes blood vessels. Improves complexion. Transforms white hair, dispels wind, drives out stagnant qi, and fills out the muscles.
