When pregnancy reaches ten months, the bones of the body seem to fracture, and muscles and tissues loosen, allowing for childbirth. Within one hundred days postpartum, the woman is still referred to as a "chan mu" (postpartum mother). At this time, people often mistakenly believe that full recovery occurs within one month. If diet is not regulated, or if there is disharmony between cold and heat, leading to deficiency and damage of blood and qi, illness will ensue; improper use of medicinal herbs will further exacerbate various diseases.
