Generally, postpartum patients present with deficiency and floating edema. If physicians fail to recognize this and treat it as water retention (Shui Qi), using diuretic drugs, it severely harms the already deficient person. Since the postpartum state is inherently deficient, using draining drugs causes double deficiency (Chong Xu), often leading to premature death. However, taking this prescription allows blood circulation to resume and edema to subside, resulting in recovery.
