[Yangqishi Wan (Calcium Silicate Pill)]
Indicated for women with deficiency-cold of the uterus, resulting from excessive labor and injury, where wind-cold pathogens have coagulated and obstructed, leading to prolonged infertility and ultimately sterility. This medicine warms the uterus and eliminates accumulated cold.
Ingredients: Yangqishi (Calcium Silicate) (soaked in wine for half a day, finely ground, 2 liang), Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus) (washed seven times with hot water, dried, slightly stir-fried, 3 fen), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix) (1 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with refined honey, pound three hundred times, and form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take 20 to 30 pills per dose, administered with warm wine or warm rice drink, on an empty stomach before meals, twice daily. If pregnancy is detected, discontinue use immediately.
[Baosheng Wan (Preserve Life Pill)]
Regulates and tonifies the Chong and Ren vessels, nourishes and supports fetal qi. Indicated for pregnant women who inherently possess wind-cold pathogens, causing fetal atrophy and poor growth; or due to improper care, disturbing and injuring fetal qi. Regular consumption during pregnancy strengthens vital qi, benefits blood, and protects the uterine organ housing the fetus.
Ingredients: Muli (Ostreae Concha) (calcined to powder, 2 liang), Baizhu (Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma), Xionggui (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma) (each 4 fen), Shujiao (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium) (remove eyes and closed ones, stir-fry until sweat appears, 3 fen).
Preparation and Administration: Pound the above ingredients into a powder. Take 2 qian per dose, mixed with warm wine, on an empty stomach before meals.
[Jiao'ai Tang Formula]
Indicated for labor injury to blood and qi, deficiency and damage to the Chong and Ren vessels, menorrhagia, dripping leukorrhea or metrorrhagia that persists for days without cessation, accompanied by pain in the umbilical and abdominal regions; as well as threatened miscarriage during pregnancy with abdominal pain and bearing-down sensation. It also treats injury to the uterine collaterals due to overexertion, causing uterine obstruction and bleeding, lower back pain, chest oppression, and confusion; or fetal movement rushing upward to the heart due to damage; and postpartum deficiency of qi in the Chong and Ren vessels failing to control menstruation, leading to persistent dripping of menstrual blood, prolonging over months, gradually resulting in emaciation.
Ingredients: Ejiao (Asini Corii Colla) (broken, stir-fried until dry), Xionggui (Ligustici Chuanxiong Rhizoma), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (honey-fried, each 2 liang), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Aiyè (Artemisiae Argyi Folium) (slightly stir-fried, each 3 liang), Baishaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Alba), Shudihuang (Prepared Rehmanniae Radix).
Preparation and Administration: Cut the above ingredients into coarse pieces. Take 3 qian per dose, add one cup of water and six parts wine, decoct until eight parts remain, filter out the dregs, and take when slightly warm, on an empty stomach before meals, three times daily. For severe cases, administer continuously through the night.
[Nourishing Fetus and Blood Formula]
Nourishes the fetus and benefits blood, harmonizes and calms the uterus. Indicated for improper care during pregnancy, or injury from overwork, causing threatened miscarriage, heavy pain in the waist and abdomen, intermittent discharge of lochia, uterine disease preventing conception; or inability to secure and nourish after conception, leading to fetal atrophy, dryness, stunted growth, and failure to deliver despite passing the expected time; or causing abortion; or improper regulation at term, premature fright, preterm leakage of lochia, dryness of the fetal sac, malpresentation (transverse or breech), extreme pain with fainting and confusion, prolonged labor with fetal death in utero, cold abdomen, cyanotic lips, vomiting of cold foam; or postpartum damage to the Chong vessel, syncope and unconsciousness, panting and sweating, incomplete expulsion of lochia, abdominal pain, alternating chills and fever; or postpartum exhaustion leading to sallow complexion, emaciation, palpitations, night sweats, anorexia, gradually developing into postpartum consumptive disease (Rulao). Regular consumption in the final month of pregnancy strengthens qi and nourishes the fetus, ensuring smooth delivery; regular consumption postpartum nourishes blood and qi, harmonizes yin and yang, consolidates the interstices, strengthens the fu organs, treats wind-deficiency, and removes chronic cold.
Ingredients: Damaoren (Cannabis Semen) (skin removed, 1.5 liang), Beimu (Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Dadouhuangjuan (Sojae Germinatus Preparatus), Jingmi (Oryzae Sativum Granum), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (slightly roasted until red), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Preparatum), Rougui (Cinnamomi Cortex) (slightly stir-fried until sweat appears).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with refined honey and form pills the size of a bullet. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in warm wine or jujube soup, or chewed directly, on an empty stomach before meals.
