*Zibei Gan Fuping Cao* (Dried Floating Fern Grass with purple back, cleaned of soil, 4 liang) *Mahuang* (Ephedrae Herba, roots and nodes removed, 2 liang) *Fangfeng* (Saposhnikoviae Radix, rhizome and forked parts removed) *Tianma* (Gastrodiae Rhizoma, rhizome removed). The above four herbs are processed according to standard methods, then ground into a fine powder.
*Moyao* (Myrrha, separately ground to an extremely fine powder) *Zhusha* (Cinnabar, levigated, 2 liang each) *Anxi Xiang* (Benzoin Resin, separately ground to a fine powder) *Ruxiang* (Olibanum, ground) *Shexiang* (Moschus, ground, [amount unspecified]).
For the aforementioned drugs, excluding those requiring separate grinding, mix the ground powders with the finely ground ingredients evenly. Boil refined white sand honey together with Benzoin Resin until ready, then knead to form a paste. Place in a mortar and pound thoroughly until smooth. Shape into pills the size of a bullet. Take one pill per dose, dissolved in warm wine or Jingjie Decoction (Schizonepetae Decoction). Take calmly; mild sweating at the affected site indicates efficacy. If dissolution is not desired, shape into pills the size of Sophora seeds (Wutongzi). Take thirty pills per dose, administered with the aforementioned decoctions.
Dispels wind, resolves phlegm, clears pathogenic heat from the Heart and Lungs, and eliminates various winds affecting the head and face. Treats migraines and frontal headaches, palpitations with irritability and depression, facial heat, eye [discomfort], cough due to phlegm-heat, and obstruction/discomfort in the throat.
*Shigao* (Gypsum Fibrosum, finely ground) *Chuanxiong* (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma, 4 liang each) *Sheng Longnao* (Borneolum Syntheticum, separately ground) *Sheng Xijiao* (Rhino Ceratotomy Cornu, raw) *Shanzhizi* (Gardeniae Fructus, peel removed, 1 liang each) *Zhusha* (Cinnabar, [processing unspecified]) [Gancao?] (Licorice Root, roasted, [amount unspecified]).
Excluding those requiring separate grinding or late addition, all other herbs are crushed, sifted into a fine powder, and formed into pills using refined honey. Take one to two pills per dose, chew thoroughly, and swallow with tea or wine as preferred. Take after meals.
Treats accumulation and knotting of various winds and phlegm-saliva, fullness and oppression in the chest and diaphragm, headache with dizziness, facial heat with palpitations, thick and sticky sputum, mental confusion and lethargy, as well as syncope caused by surging phlegm-saliva. This formula is suitable for these conditions.
*Qieian* (Lead, refined ten times, weighed 3 liang, combined with Mercury to form cinnabar-like grains, divided into small pieces, boiled with 10 liang of Licorice Root for half a day, cooled, taken out and ground for use) *Tiefen* (Plumbum, Lead Powder) *Shuiyin* (Hydrargyrum, Mercury, formed into cinnabar-like grains, 3 liang each) *Zhusha* (Cinnabar, levigated, 0.5 liang) *Tiannanxing* (Arisaematis Cum Bile Rhizoma, processed, ground into powder, 3 fen) [Ni?].
Grind all ingredients uniformly. Form pills using wheat flour paste, sized like Sophora seeds (Wutongzi). For the treatment of Wind-Epilepsy (Feng-Xian), take without regard to timing.
