Normally, take fresh lotus node segments (dried), pickle them with salt and seal them tightly. When encountering someone with a sore throat, chew the segments to extract juice and swallow it; this yields miraculous results (especially effective for sore throats caused by Yin deficiency).
Another prescription: Collect radish greens in early winter, spread them on tiled roofs (hanging them on bamboo poles in the open air is even better). Leave them exposed to wind, rain, frost, and snow until the day before Lichun (the Beginning of Spring). Then harvest them and hang them in the shade under eaves without direct sunlight to dry naturally. In the second or third lunar month, harvest them again, chop them finely, place them in a bowl with sauce or salt, and steam them over a rice pot. Consume them as a daily side dish; this ensures the whole family remains free from throat ailments. For existing throat conditions, decoct them into soup and drink; this is highly effective.
Blow powdered Fuzi (Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata) into the throat, or decoct Douchi (Fermented Soybean) in water and take it with good wine, or mix it with human breast milk and take it with wine.
Decoct Tongcao (Tetrapanacis Medulla) in water and drink, or decoct Jupi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium) into a thick juice, chill it, and drink.
Take fresh Huaihua (Sophorae Flos), stir-fry it slowly on a new tile until cooked, carry it with you, and when walking or sitting, take one or two grains, chew them, and swallow. With long-term use, it will heal. Alternatively, make pills using raw Baifan (Alumen) and refined honey.
Named "Lansha Hou" (Rotting Sha Sore Throat): Burn Xiancai Gen (Amaranthi Radix) until charred, add a small amount of "Zhen Pian" (likely referring to a specific mineral or processed ingredient, contextually ambiguous but kept as proper noun), and blow it into the affected area.
Use five qian of Meihua Bingpian (Borneolum Syntheticum), insufficient dosage is ineffective. Grind it into fine powder and sprinkle it on the tongue to cause immediate shrinkage.
Puncture the tip of the tongue with a silver needle to drain all the foul blood, then apply candle wax oil to the wound.
Mix four qian of Wuzhuyu (Evodiae Fructus) into powder, blend with hot vinegar, and apply to both soles of the feet. Bind securely with cloth and change after a period of time; this is very effective.
In the initial stage, lesions resemble beans and gradually grow like fungi, causing pain, redness, swelling, ulceration, and loss of skin. Morning symptoms are mild, while evening symptoms worsen. Take a strand of spider silk twisted into a thread, tie a loop around the base of the fungal-like lesion. The silk will naturally tighten gradually. Endure the extreme pain for a moment; the lesion will fall off with bleeding. Apply soot from the bottom of a cooking pot to the wound. Alternatively, applying Puhuang (Typhae Pollen) powder is also acceptable. (Fine granules under the tongue resembling beans indicate Feiyong [Lung Abscess]; consult the Fangji [Prescriptions] section for Yongju [Carbuncles and Sores] regarding the treatment of Lung Abscess.) Multiple sharp protrusions under the tongue or ulcers throughout the mouth resembling lotus flowers or millet grains (patients suffer from reduced appetite, asthma, phlegm production, and cold hands and feet). Puncture with needles. Do not puncture the center between two sharp points; this is critical.
